So since I’m in CA this will automatically turn off after 6hrs? What if I want it to stay on longer?
@warp0000919 күн бұрын
Mine is a lot older than this model, probably installed about 30 years ago. I remember it was very hard to program, using only the one button that turns the light circuit on and off and a very small mechanical switch hidden on the side of it. No one seems to have instructions for programming it anymore...

My light keeps turning on. Problem is I’m not sure if it’s my setup mistake or faulty switch. It’s like that up until today since initial purchase.

Question, mine says it has no network connection at start up. Doesn't matter what HDU port I use. What could be the issue? I have no control nor the menus yours is showing.

Holy moly is this the least intuitive timer in the entire world. There is no reason it should be so confusing!

I follow all the steps with paper instructions in hand and after watching the video countless times. Still not working with the Lat/Long coordinates on Auto mode. Biggest PITA thanks to a very brief power outage. @bilford1594, please send the link for the alternative instractions! Arrrrggghh!

What if you only have a black, white and red wire coming out of the box with no ground. How do I connect the switch?

the problem with this is now there's a green and white with 2 black wires which makes no sense.. no matter what way I wire it it doesn't work

How could a guy working for Leviton not know that the holes on the jaws of the wire stripper are designed to make perfect sized bends in the receptacle's wire for a screwed-down connection? The installer simply inserts the wire in the hole and makes a twist of the wrist. He doesn't know this???

Okay this isn't a gigamax connector. Anyhow, so is there a way to do strain relief on the cable?

Absolutely insane! I have to go through this 15 step procedure (requiring me to watch this 9 minute KZbin video) every time there is a 5 second power outage at my house - necessitating a reset of the timer. Whoever thought this up must've decided to make this the LEAST user-friendly system on the planet! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

My house has this controller applied to a heated towel rack. It is virtually impossible to quickly and positively establish OFF mode. Might have failed, and not in "fail safe" mode. I'd be more comfortable if this were, instead, a low voltage lighting circuit, but instead it is too hot to touch heat.

How do u connect when u have 3 or more of these dimmer switches.
@romeowhiskey11464 ай бұрын
Most likely...you'll have 2 BLACK....a continuous, uninterrupted WHITE (to the load) and the BARE/GREEN ground wire. Your BLACK and WHITE wire example will be confusing to many. The SWITCH is simply interrupting the current through the BLACK wires.

These animations are first-class high quality and make all the difference when a novice seeks to install these products. I wish all companies did this with such clear instructions and animations.

I have one of these new Leviton receptacles purchased from a local supply house that is this new, heavy duty model. The packaging describes how it is for EV chargers. However the receptacle face is not marked with the little EV car symbol. I would have liked it to include that.

Hi, are we able to just program an auto off time? I don’t want to set an auto on time, I’d like to just manually turn on the light, but if I forget to turn off the light by 11pm, I’d like to set a an off event at that time.

Thank you for the video. I thought there red light on my unit was defective. But this video helped me know where to look for the red light. Because I am color blind (red and green) I could not see the red light. So I removed the lense over the red light and was able to then see it. I was then finally able to get it programmed.
