Why do you need to hold the lock open while attaching the straps? On both my Garmin Tactix C and Tactix D Sol, I simply snap it on and only open the lock when I’m taking the bands off.

The fact that we couldn't see the time at first is a hard pass on AMOLED.

What does Amoled have to do with it? He is using Gesture to turn screen on.

If it was a MIP screen instead (which is an option on the Fenix 8), you wouldn't need gesture and we would've seen the time instantly.
