Actually it’s because their super rigid, work-obsessed culture demands these performative displays of humility to the customer. Mid-level Japanese supervisors are some of the most crazy Karen and Kevin’s imaginable, and will freak out if you don’t greet, don’t bow, don’t say the “corporate approved polite phrases” Having lived in Japan for years now, the quaint charm that tickles foreigners unfamiliar to such practices has lost its luster, and to me is just a surface-level sign of compliance and resignation. These guys work 14 hour days and their bosses don’t care. They have no time for family or self. It’s just work, work, work. It’s a sad culture to live in.

That's definitely another one way to look at it 👍🏼 There are lots of valid points made against Japan's work culture and that is a topic for another day. However, Japanese hospitality, professionalism and attention to detail is admirable and I am always in awe of it. Especially, if you haven't experienced it elsewhere. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my video. All opinions are welcome! Have a great day 😊

Very sad, slavery mentality. To be honest, slavery mentality is common everywhere in civilization. Some just take it further than others

You have painted wrong side but it is Ok❤
@sherryblossom7 ай бұрын
No, it's correct. You can Google it if you like. The left eye gets painted first and then the right after a wish comes true. However, it may look like the right eye if you're viewing it from a particular angle on your phone. Whichever way, do try it out 😄
