I feel you. I love my children. They're my world. I wou do anything for them but at the same time, thinking I can't just be a mom. I need to be something that my children will be proud of at the same time providing for them. It's not in my nature to be just a stay at home mom. I dreamt of being a successful business woman and a mother ❤

I literally was watching you on KZbin at my hotel in Vegas (after your mom got into it with a worker at a store haha!) and then I went to MAGIC and spotted you right away. their is no such thing as being "just a mom". as a mother you are the number one influence for your children and it is one of the ultimate callings. As a Christian mother we called to disciple our children, to teach them the ways of the Lord, to teach them Gods word and raise them up for God. I fell into this "boss girl" trap for a long time. i felt "empty" as a mom for awhile too and allowed the societal influences to dictate my thoughts, the pressure of society for women to "do it all", to "hustle hustle hustle", the societal pressure that women are worthless unless we contribute to the general society as a whole. All LIES. It wasn't until God convicted me and brought me to my knees, humbling me and showed me that this in and of itself is a calling. My feelings don't dictate reality. Even as a working mom I "felt empty", but it wasn't because of my job or my children, it was me. I was living for Christ, I wasn't being obedient to His word. To the SAHM out their you are not "just a mom" you are your children world, you are their number one influence, you're in charge of another human beings character and SOUL! their is absolutely nothing more grand and precious than that. Thats not to say moms shouldn't pursue extra curricular or outside work, but even if you don't you are doing something. you are never "just a mom'. Thank God He doesn't leave us in our feelings. Our feelings are unreliable, they change, they flip flop every minute. He has given us His word and we can trust His word and we can go to it when we feel empty. And this is the calling He has given Christian wives and mothers "Titus 2:3-5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Jackie, this video set me free. 🤍 I started my business back in 2020, I watched ALL your videos on how to start a biz and ran with it. My business was starting to take off and do really well and it helped me through some rough times as well and filled me with so much happiness at that point in time. At the beginning of last year my business began to feel very unfulfilling and draining. It no longer gave me purpose but I didn’t want to give up because I felt like a failure if I just quit. So I felt like I had to keep doing it even though it was making me miserable at one point. hearing you explain everything like this makes so much sense. Nothings meant to last forever and I genuinely feel like God is calling me to do something else as well. Now I am at peace knowing I made the right decision to close that chapter. Thank you since the very beginning. 🤍
