That’s a beautiful car! These cars were underrated and under appreciated, and that’s sad, for they made a statement. The Honda drivetrain is smooth and strong, and has the promise of reliability. It’s a shame that Sterling didn’t do better. I’d gladly make a spot for this car in the garage!

These were Made in Cowley, Oxford, England by Austin Rover. I worked there as an Apprentice Quality Engineer on them. They were State Of The Art back in the Day. Your Extremely Good example takes me back 34 years ago. Time Warp Condition and it has to be one of the best survivor cars left. Thanks for posting this.

That's a beauty. With that blue interior, it's even probably rare among Sterlings or Rover 800s.

It’s nice to see one in the wild. I lived in Fayetteville NC and we had a Sterling dealer , I so wanted one little did I know that it was a joint effort with Honda !
