I was so prepared with all of my medicine but going through the drake for us was a breeze 😎😎😎 getting out of buenos aires was more rough than the drake, but our captain did say that a smooth drake almost never happens

If we had been on the same ship I would have hung out with you as much as you could stand me. (I'm an old slow lady so you would have tired off waiting for my ass on walks.😢) Looks to me like you're the coolest person on board. I think I'm watching videos out of order but the last one I watched you talked about some girl being uppity about taking your picture. I would have hung with you on every excursion so that we could take each other's pictures. We're all in this life together and in the adventures we have in it. People need to learn to get over themselves. The ship I'm going on at the end of February to Antarctica was chartered by two women who specialize in solo female travel. Out of all the guests on board I heard only 14 of them are men. I'm hoping there will be a good deal of camaraderie since we all have the same kind of mindset travel-wise. 🤞

@@Mackieleeee.1 absolutely. 100%. because i am a very friendly person and i look approachable! i literally watched other solo travelers just sitting by themselves and other people coming up to them striking conversation. and it was super weird because one night a group of them got drunk, and they decided to approach me and be friendly while i was just chilling by myself. in my mind i kept going back and forth like …they act like i don’t exist when they’re sober, but now that they’re drunk they want to speak to me? tell me your thoughts

That’s a good point. As a black woman as well, I’ve found that sometimes people behavior may be motivated by my race but more often than not they’re just miserable or aren’t thinking about me the way I think they are. I find that my not centering my race around my interactions with people, I’ve found more peace in my life. HOWEVER, I’ve never been to Alaska lol idk if they ever see black people and their image of us might be tainted by media. Shoot I’m sick of up when I look at the media lol

@ what reviews are you hearing ? and no i wouldn’t do it again. it’s beautiful, just not the most beautiful train i’ve been on. i think it was mainly the fact that we were so squished on there, that made it more so uncomfortable.

@@nonomiconone9124 🥹🥹🤍 this is so sweet. thank you for the kind words and i am so happy the videos are bringing you comfort. if it’s any help, there were a few people on the ship with hip and knee problems! they just took it easy and didn’t do the hiking provided. there was this one guy who had JUST had surgery (limp and all) and he still had a blast. they are very accommodating especially considering majority of passengers are older.
