This audio mix is definitely better! Crack in the Slab has to be my favorite mission of the game. The ability to hop between time periods makes for a lot of fun interactions, and watching guards look for you in terror - or hotting back to their era to hear them - is wonderful. I wish more games had sections like this level.

You know, I've been wondering for some time now - If the Outsider is the manifestation of the Void, does that suggest that the Void has some sort of sapient willpower? Like, is it some sort of an eldrich god-like thing that has some sort of a plan, and it needs the Outsider to perform it? or is it rather so that the Void is simply concentrated on the Outsider, but other than that he is simply a "normal man with superpowers", who just does his own thing using the fact that he is a demi-god? So far I fell like the second option is more correct, as it all seems to be some sort of Outsider's curiosity to se warious outcomes come to pass, but I wonder - what it would look like if the first part was true? As if the Void actually wanted it all to happen as it did? And if the low-chaos endings are usually cannon - that would mean the Void is not that evil? I hope this is a good point for debate here!

Of all the things about the whales, what made me understand their situation the most was a fan song by Miracle of Sound. There’s a line late into it, designed to sound like an old lullaby. _“Shades of the whales in the tainted deep_ _Maimed and impaled, in their pain they sleep_ _The faded and frail in the laneways weep_ _Broken souls in mourning”_
