Now this fieldHTS is better, the old FieldHTS was always dependent on ambient light which was a problem in image analysis. and one suggestion to Lemnatec: if possible start image analysis algorithm development as a paid service.

Dear Danubio, as many other lab- and field- research platforms, LemnaTec's field phenotyping machine is an investment. It's cost strongly depends on the size, i.e. length and width of the crane-and-rail system and the amount as well as type of sensors integrated in the system. The initial investment will provide it's benefits by decreasing the costs per data point in phenotypic studies. Users of such systems generate data points at much higher frequency and accuracy than it would be possible with manual measurements. Moreover, combinations of sensors allow recording a multitude of different properties at once. Overall, the phenotyping platform can reduce the time to get decisive results in research and breeding. No this installation was done at IPK Gatersleben in Germany, but you can also fin our technology at the Plant Accelorator in Adelaide and at Several INRA Inst. in France as well as with BASF Bayer and Monsanto
