OH! Happy anniversary to you guys!! Your home is VERY similar to mine in GA - only we haven’t finished our basement yet after 3 yrs! I don’t know u guys but can’t help but feel like i do! Your hubby is very humble so anyone watching this shouldn’t feel anything but sheer happiness for you guys. Congratulations!!!

Did you get upgrade padding for your carpet for us we did, but I think I am switching to standard pad. It will save us 5k

No we didn’t upgrade the padding. The standard padding is fine. I would suggest putting your money in other areas of the house carpet and flooring can always be upgraded at a later date.

Wait, did you say the house was finished in 5 1/2 months? Was that 5 1/2 months from breaking ground? If so, that was pretty quick.

I too have been through too much. I have escalated issues to Tim Clarke several times. The communication has been poor to say the least.

@@tmonysl Perk Test completed. Charles County Health Dept approved. Waiting on approval of site permits. Pre Construction meeting tentative for end of Feb. Expect to break ground in March. How about you? Where are you building?

We built with them 4 years ago and the build time back them was 120 days. They closed on time. We had no major issues with the house and it's still like brand new now. Any issues they came right out and resolved them and stayed in touch w/us for 2 years. Prices have since gone up a lot but we got a great deal. Also had to get Tim Clark involved in the beginning to get us started.

We’re doing an On Your Lot Kingsport also! I love following your progress. Unfortunately we’re not at the ground breaking stage yet, hopefully this month. I wanted to ask, how long did it take from acquiring the land, to breaking ground did Caruso take? We closed back in April and we still have not broken ground. Just wanted to see if that’s a similar timeline that you all have experienced. Thank you.

Ok thank you. That makes me feel better. We bought our lot in April of this year (a lot that Caruso affiliated themselves with) and we are projected to break ground next month. So that make me feel a little better about the timeline, which feels like it’s taking forever lol.

@@theestate9697 Anne Arundel County. Ran into some complication but things are looking on the up. Did you ask for obtaining the permit as a contingency to closing on the lot?

Hey, if your in PG County, I’ve been waiting for over a year for DPIE to approve all the permits, so I suggest that you buckle up for a lengthy process.
