Oh, tonight Under those old prairie skies There's a lonely heart like yours that's breaking mine In my life I've been about as far as I'll climb And the winter's hiding our desire lines But I'm gonna wake you up Gonna break you out Gonna steal your heart And save you now Gonna try, gonna fight, gonna forget how And I'm a gonna tell you lies Gonna let you down Gonna break your heart And grow up now Gonna try, gonna fight, gonna fuck up now Oh, you and me and the Enterprise Stuck in Vulcan, telling lies Oh, tonight Our love was on a slow decline Waiting on a empty heart to tell you tonight And I'm gonna tell you lies Gonna let you down Gonna break your heart Gonna grow up now Gonna try, gonna fight, gonna forget how But I'm gonna wake us up Gonna break us out Gonna steal your heart Gonna save us now Gonna try, gonna fight, gonna fuck up now Oh, you and me and the Enterprise Stuck in Vulcan, telling lies, now Lovers with a terrible doubt Lovers via kiss of the mouth Tonight our love was on a slow decline Oh, you and me and the Enterprise In Vulcan another night

I heard this on the radio and was completely blown away. Absolutely perfect song. I'm actually living in rural Alberta too as a bonus.

Interestingly enough, the band is said to be from Ontario, but given the sheer amount of Alberta related content in their songs (Frank, AB and Tornado 87) they must have some roots here in AB.

Paul Banwatt is my favorite drummer, and I love how he and Nils work together to create such epic, dynamically rich songs. Paul said in an interview with Drummer to Drummer youtube channel that usually he and Nils tend to write songs together, and you absolutely hear that. In this video, Paul and the host of the youtube channel have a short interview, and then they play "On the Rocks" with just the drums facing each other. The drumming on that song is literally my favorite drumming on any song I can think of over the past couple of years. (And it's fun to watch what a monster he can be when they play this!): kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3vRd52lfdhlqJI&ab_channel=DrummertoDrummer

One of Canada’s great bands. Love watching ‘em rock it out while also rocking The McKinnon Brothers brewery T shirt. Just happens to be one of Canada’s great unsung Breweries.

Paul Banwatt (RAA's drummer) and Bryan Devendorf (The National's drummer) are my personal drum gods. The drums on this (and On the Rocks and so many others!) sounds like an actual monster is playing them. He's just unreal. This song is fantastic!

Lightning grips the highway strips Always brings you back to this I don't ever want to drive Passing through the Cap tonight, for a song Then we're moving on Sleepy Giants Unemployed Cultural Centers all devoid And if I'm finally gone I'll make it up before we're done Oh, moving on Missing out on the Saulte, lake-effect coming on Oh, moving on If I'm ever wrong I'll make it up before we're gone I don't ever want to drive Take care of me tonight Wait on a Solar Eclipse Glancing past you're pretty lips And if I'm ever wrong I'll make it up before we're done Oh, moving on Missing out on the Saulte, lake-effect was too strong Oh, moving on If I'm ever wrong I'll make it up before we're gone Under the eyes of 3 Sisters We were young, only for a little while Take of me, We were young, only for a little while Under the eyes of 3 Sisters You were young, only for a little while If I'm ever wrong I'll make it before we're gone
