The layout of the Excel class ship while unique seems super poorly laid out. The venues are almost all to small and often in storage locations. The sports bar/ veterans venue is way to small for either of those things let alone both. I'm going back on the Jubilee two more ti es but only because of Kyndell fire.

Thanks for the video. Galveston’s port crew are not friendly nor energetic. I think the lines are long outside because a lot of people arrive early. Carnival will not let you through the doors until the window of your boarding time. So we show up only in that window and walk straight through and are checked in and seated 15-30mins process every time. Sometimes we drop our luggage off then go park if the traffic isn’t bad. There are a lot of indoor scenic/relaxed seated areas that you can head to while waiting for your stateroom keys or tour the ship.

@kmcbride2988 I have had some better sail aways in Galveston, but with the new larger ships, they have to figure it out and develop a new process.

We were on board before noon. Our check-in was 10:30, but the traffic on Harborside was so bad we did not arrive until about 11:00 and we were inside pass security waiting for our friends at 11:15. Everyone was going straight onto the ship at that point.

Lovely video! Never been to Seattle or Alaska. Planning on booking late May 2025. We like Royal Caribbean but Quantum is not going to stop at Glacier Bay…did you have enough time at each port? Thank you.

We will be sailing on Celebration in February 2025. We just got off Magic 2 weeks ago. It was a tough decision booking the bigger ships, but we had to at least try it once. So Chibang is free the first time you go?

Yes! First visit is included and subsequent visits are $8 each. We sailed on the Magic several times when she was in Galveston. I think you will enjoy the Celebration. A very different layout.

Do you prefer the Celebration to other Carnival ships? A few things I don't like, but overall, I like the layout. I need to get back on a Vista class to decide if I prefer Excel or Vista.

@@seejennycruise2861 I do prefer the XL class over the other ships just because of the size and layout im booked on the Horizon for august this will be my second time on the Horizon, but I do like the XL class better and I also like the atrium on the newer ships

A ship officer later told me there were 2700 - 2900 passengers on board. There should be 5000 on board for sail away today.

It is a great memory. One of my favorite things to do on a cruise is spend time on the balcony. The early morning light show was an extra special reward for passing up another hour of sleep.
