Beautiful music. The hornpipe is The Rover through the Bog or The Shaskeen Hornpipe as Joe Burke used to call it.

Le Cheile "The Bucks" What a great blast of reel playing. I remember the day we recorded that in Putney 50 years ago. One of our best!! J

Some things in life are so hard to believe. Difficult for the mind to comprehend. The senseless, brutal and unprovoked attack and murder of this very talented, charming, and attractive young girl, is mind boggling to say the least. May she R.I.P.

Two of Ireland's finest accordion players coming from the same area, Loughrea Co. Galway. Raymond Roland playing here and of course Joe Burke. Rest in peace to both.

I played with Raymond for many years. Yes he was a great. Amazing thing to me is that more than one person told me that his brother Oliver was better. .ind you loads of people said the same re John Doherty's brother, Simey. Interesting though I never heard Oliver, never mind the Roland who will remain an immortal, given that she, Imelda, composed a reel that will be played forever.

The first tune - Sergeant Earley's - is named after Chief O'Neill' deputy who transcribed many tunes. With men like that, we did not have Slovak scum killing our women Tá an chéad ril - Sáirsint Earley's - ainmnithe i ndiaidh iarcheannaire an Phríomhoifigigh Uí Néill a rinne go leor foinn a thrascríobh. Le fir mar sin, ní raibh scum na Slóvaice ag marú ár mná

A lot of Irish men want to be put in a room for just 15 minutes with the bastard who murdered this angel with only one exiting alive. This is a warning to any of the new foreign scum the free state is importing Tá go leor fir Éireannaigh ag iarraidh go gcuirfí isteach i seomra iad ar feadh 15 nóiméad leis an mbastard a mharaigh an t-aingeal seo gan ach duine amháin ag fágáil beo. Is rabhadh é seo d’aon cheann de na scum nua eachtrannach atá á n-allmhairiú ag an stát saor
