I was shocked by my inner voice, as I wasn't ready to settle down. She was an excellent student in grad school going for a master's degree in Radiation Bio-Physics. I was an undergrad student in P. Chem. Long story short, who cares, I dated her anyways. That's how she became my spouse which of course why I called her my ex-girlfriend, since she's not my girlfriend anymore.
