Realy good content, interesting you aknowledged nail art origins in the black comunity, Im from Brasil and I can see how it started different here. We developed glass fiber nails and we followed the fashion trends with about 20 years of delay until the 2000 and we didnt have that ethnical distinction. Black girls and white girls here would be getting the same french tip flowery nails until about 2015, when Instagram brought us the world. I think the techniques we learned came from russian nail artists and since 2020 we learn from everywhere and pick our nail art from any artist in the world from the internet

Thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate your perspective from Brasil that I didn't know about. I think it's so cool how the internet has connected so many people despite having geographical differences. :-)

I've heard about this silly trend of not teaching school kids cursive. As someone who learned cursive in the 70's ( guess that makes me old ) it was important to learn to make writing easier and more fluid by not having to lift your pencil or pen numerous times for each letter and word. It was kinda like an artform. Now being in the digital age I understand it not being overly necessary, however I do think it should still be taught.
@yesterday_studios

Thank you for sharing your story regarding cursive! I agree that it can be compared to an art form, that's a great way to put it. I also agree that it may not be necessary but it's a good skill to have. Thanks for watching!

Fun fact a lot of the sailor moon was inspired by greek mythology. Anime/ Manga artist use couture brand magazines/ models for refrences and inspiration. I also own the same shirt as you😂

I love your blurry photos. Is that from moving the camera plus being out of focus, or did you use a filter? I would love to experiment with getting my own version of that kind of thing.
@yesterday_studios
@yesterday_studios Жыл бұрын
First of all, thank you!! I really like them too! For the "filter" question, I did not use any filters, I just let 110 film do it's thing! You can find the ones I used on lomography's website. :-) As for the blurriness, I think it was just me not focusing the camera right and just being a newbie with it. But the graininess of the film does add to the effect. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😄

If you want to get back into analog get a 35mm slr and 50mm lens. it doesn't matter the brand you can find em used cheap. Fully mechanical or whiz bang af. I started shooting film again after 13 years a couple of weeks ago. You have more options in 35mm for films than any other format and it'll be cheaper for you in the long run. You can take great images no matter what camera you use. 35mm just makes it easier Don't ever do the math on how much it cost to shoot color in 120mm.
@yesterday_studios
@yesterday_studios Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tips, I definitely will look into it! & yeah I agree, 35 mm definitely has more options! It's pretty much everywhere. Anyways, I love that you have stated shooting on film again, I hope you take beautiful images! Thanks for your comment, happy film shooting 😌✌🏻📷🎞✨

@@yesterday_studios I'm having fun with my toys. I have a sizeable collection i picked up over the years. Most of it i picked up when everyone switched from film to digital. I just went to a bigger film format for 10 years.

@@yesterday_studios one of the cheapest ways is to look for a cosina clone. they made em in every mount but canon fd. the pentax mount ones are bargains. with those you really have to use a lightmeter or sunny 16 rule. Film is expensive so i cheat. I make sure i like it on digital beforee i press the shutter on film.
