I remember as a kid seeing him in film 2 thinking he was the next big bad after voldemort, little did i know that he was just going to be a punchline in later films and his badass days were actually well behind him.

You do not speak their name, because by speaking their name you are giving them power.

Fun fact: Jason Isaacs improvised Lucuis having long hair, to make his character more snooty by tilting up his nose.

I love the lines: V: How can you live with yourself, Luscious? L: I don't know. They are very clearly talking about two different things. Unless you are as far down the psychopathy scale as Voldemort, when you do something wrong, you know it, even if you don't directly admit it. People like Luscious repress those feelings as much as they possibly can. This is such a striking, stand out scene, because in Luscious' vulnerability in this moment, he admits it. However, Voldemort sees it as only talking about his failures in the missions he gave to him. Voldemort's psychopathy is a lot worse and likely can't quite grasp feelings of guilt. In the Cursed Child, it is implied that Luscious passed away. In addition to his Azkaban stay and the both physical and psychological torture and stress inflicted on him by Voldemort, I'm sure his own guilt played a role in that too. You cannot just keep doing those kinds of things and expect for it to not have a negative effect on you. Admitting you were so wrong is difficult and can be downright painful, but you will be healthier and happier in the long run.

Despite Snape and Lucius’ being old friends since school, Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs never interact onscreen even though they are both present in Quiddich and Malfoy Manor.
