Honestly, after you got to 4099*4093, just using the standard multiplication method would probably have been simpler than using expansion and distribution/F.O.I.L. That’s basically what the standard multiplication algorithm is anyways, just a simple way to FOIL large numbers to find their product.

Now multiplying by 1005 is the same as multiplying by (1000 + 10/2), so distributing this multiplication, you get (3015 * 1000 + 3015 * 10/2) = 3015000 + 30150/2 . The last division is easy enough to do by hand, and you end up with 3015000 + 15075 = 3030075.

I’m sorry, but this is a awful way of doing this. You basically just over-complicated 46*47, and you still used the standard algorithm to multiply by 45 in the end.
