I have a Zeiss Batis 85 for a portrait lens. I still want this as a macro though. Depending on how well it did with portrait I’d consider selling the Batis.

Considering adding a macro lens. This looks tempting. Between this and the Sony 90mm G, and the Sigma 105.

All are great options. But this Tamron lens really won me over. The fastest af of the bunch and a better portrait lens then the Sigma in my opinion. And you really can’t beat the price.

Whatever you do, unless you need the optical image stabilization in the 90mm Sony G, just avoid that lens. It's performance makes no sense to pay that much for that this point, it's simply too old and requires an update. Softer than these lenses, and fringes far more.
