Lol I straight up bought your ebooks on cross hatching, lettering, and a few other topics. This is pretty much the style I've been looking for, so I can make a specific drawing for a friend. Had problems with a picture when I intentionally made a chaos of marks. Yet when I was done, it all looked flat and black, or smudged. I wasn't sure why. Now through this video, I have a hint why. I didn't take in to account the lights and darks, and create the cross hatch lines in a way so the "darker" shadow area lines "grew" in thickness and the angle cross hatches didn't complement each other. It takes a surprising amount of order to create one of these. Bravo. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
