I think it just depends - doing the math on this I think the average cost per pack is a little over $8.70 CAD ($6.40USD), but there were a lot of Sword & Shield era packs which was pretty cool, some good variety with the Japanese packs and then of course I did get lucky with the X&Y pack. I think part of what you end up paying for is the fun of not knowing what you're gonna get. Overall I do think this was worth it, lots of hits, tons of fun, but probably a little on the pricy side. I think I'll do it again at some point 😅

For Scarlet & Violet era packs you pull the first card from the back of the pile and slip it to the front, so when you flip the stack over to view the cards your first card will be the energy card. For Sword & Shield era it's 4 cards from the back to the front! 😊

@@user-ft1wk7gr9b well part of is is luck - the condition of the card when you pull it, as there may be some defects, errors in framing/boarders/cut or maybe some damage to the card in packaging etc. the best thing you can do I think is handle the card as little as possible, sleeve it immediately, and store it in a top loader in a dry environment. But I’m not an expert, just an enthusiast 😋
