When how you handle referrals/introductions is an unknown, it can be a perceived risk. Remove the risk by letting folks know your primary goal is to make the process comfortable.

How to reward referrals in my massage business? Mostly word of mouth. Business slowed down, so I’m relooking at how to be referrable. Love the lesson client engagement for new clients. Thanks! PS: first question still stands
@BillCatesReferralCoach2 жыл бұрын
#1 - If a client provides you with an unsolicited referrals, give them a hand-written thank-you card with maybe a gift card to an appropriate store nearby or something modest that is tailored to their interests. #2 - If you are being more proactive and asking your clients to tell others, you can offer a discount on the first massage for the new client and the same discount for the referring client. It could be something other than a discount; perhaps something related to massage, wellness, etc. Make sense? ~ BILL

Do you have a template for asking for a referral in a written letter?
@BillCatesReferralCoach2 жыл бұрын
I do not have a script for this, because asking for referrals in a letter rarely works. In person is the absolute best way. Zoom is second. Phone would be third. You can ask in an email IF you know the person well and you have a very specific person to whom you'd like to be introduced. Of course, there are always outliers to this, but they are rare.

Great video! I’m contemplating using your VIP training however most but not all of my referrals/introductions are coming from young advisors who are introducing me to my non-ideal prospects. I want them to succeed but it’s derailing my productivity this year. Does your training have suggestions for this type of situation?
@BillCatesReferralCoach3 жыл бұрын
Gary - That's the sort of question that we could address during a coaching session. There is no specific video for this in the program, but I'm sure we could bet you some "relief" by talking it through.
@peterfraser24014 жыл бұрын
Bill does your program/passion imply that referrals and introductions are 'all I need' vs. the website, FB, youtube collection of letting strangers get to know, like and trust me? Thank you for the comment. Credible impact on this presentation.
@BillCatesReferralCoach4 жыл бұрын
Peter - the more you work through really effective introductions, the less important the other things you mentioned become, but even if you run a 100% referrals business (which many people do), having a credible website and LinkedIn profile are important. For example, I coach folks how to make sure their messaging is congruent and impactful across all those platforms. Depending on the business, however, much of the social media that people engage in isn't necessary.
@peterfraser24014 жыл бұрын
@@BillCatesReferralCoach Thanks. And presumably radio ads and other cold call outreaches are 'referral avoidance behaviours', in your thinking?
@BillCatesReferralCoach4 жыл бұрын
@@peterfraser2401 Probably. The first thing to think about is: How do your ideal clients want to meet you? What is their preferred method? Then that should be your main focus. You can use other ways to promote your business, but don't spend much money or effort without testing the viability. Proof of concept!
