I know I'm late to this debate, but maybe Q is several people controlled by G through his powers. Sort of like G spiritually joining the earth and losing his corporeal form. Then using people for a greater, unknown purpose, choosing those with similar bodies so he can continue fighting in the same style, but being clumsy because the bodies he controls are not as flexible or trained as the original.

This feels like a Metaphor G =Young, Energetic, and Optimistic. Q = Old, Tired, and Depressed.

U know i got the theory he is q, q before doesnt know any martial arts before, if u see G profile at street wiki, his style is all martial arts around the world, meaning he is q is and been training all martial arts when he was absent to all street fighter series then he appeared in 5 if you look closely his moves where the same but more improve and perfectly executed than before his round house is crap he even fall him self but now he mastered it. So he is q he just rename himself as G for a change for being a better one a stronger one

why is he falling off,its goofy looking and it doesn't go well with his chracter misterious/serious nature

I like that G is bracing himself for impact/keeping his balance during his attacks while Q is throwing his everything into every motion, even taking over at times

this gave me an idea - "bones" in 3d modelling programs should really have some sort of cartilage wiggle room where the bones connect to each other for character animation.

Why the fuck didn't they bring G or Q back for 6? If you want to give answers, bring back G. If you want to further the mystery, bring back Q.

Even G's crouching animation is degraded in Q- He can't even get his one knee up without (presumably) tipping over, so he has to keep himself seated on both knees. My hunch for Deadly Double Combination is that while G evenly distributes the blows to complete the combo, Q puts way too much into the second hit and just sends the opponent flying

Man, he was so much cooler when his movements were more stiff and heavier

On their appearance, G and Q both have blonde hair, G's energy attacks are golden, Q has golden light emanating from his eyes, and though unclear maybe the golden tattoo G has used actual gold and might explain why Q's electrocution X-ray is blocked at his skin level. That last one is a bit of a reach, but no-one else mentioned it.

Q is confirmed to be a senile 70 year old vegetable. We've gone too far.

The fact that the shadaloo cri description for G’s trench coat costume mentions how color 15 looks like Q implies that the two exist at the same time, which would discredit the theory that G is Q. I believe that Q is a follower of G, which would explain the similarity of their moves. Q is trying to mimic his master, but lacks G’s expertise, similar to how the shadaloo soldiers try and fail to do M.Bison’s psycho crusher.

just a note. the j.LP G uses is the 9 j.LP angle from Q

my theory about q is that hes most likly a cyborg now or undrerwent some experiment. when he gets electrocuted inn third stike you don't see his skelton structure like the rest of the cast

Man, I love how SF3 animations are so smooth and bouncy, they don't make animations like these anymore. I also wonder what happened to him, he lost all his powers apparently

I’ve thought about this video every now and then for literally years, and I just thought of something that I’d never considered before! Most of the fan theories here are that Q is G’s body (and what’s left of G’s mind), or a clone of G’s body, or whatever. What if Q is actually an android created to carry out or carry on G’s will? What if that’s not a mask at all? What if it’s just his bare metal robot face?

Its interesting to note that while SF6 is canonically set after third strike there are still posters of G around... Makes me wonder if they are indeed the same person or shares a co-existance somehow...
