What is the limit to change the tube? I have a Z750 2007 and every 6000-7000km (2 years) it has leaks of oil and i have to change the shaft seal. The tube has a mark like yours but totally smooth and without marks. When I disassembled this mark is black (i think this mark erode the seal and its black colour is caused by the seal's erosion, however its totally smooth). What can i do? What is your opinon. TY.

Eres un genio, salvaste mi moto, justo acabo de reparar las horquillas de mi moto usando pega loka (súper glue) rellenando los orificios marcados en las barras, luego lijando con lija muy fina y finalmente aplicando cera abrillantadora. Quedaron perfectas al tacto, sin fugas.

I did this correction with a drill. I wrapped sandpaper around a pen and held it with a drill. It was way much more easier to remove scratches.

If ur ready to buff use a buffing wheel and some of the clay compounds it will make it like a mirror! If the surface isn’t like a mirror it will ruin the seal.

An extremely good product to prevent rust in the first place, is "Corrosion-X". It binds magnetically to metal, almost on an atomic level, and is therefore very resistant to pressure and heat. I've started using this on all different kinds of things - fork legs, brake caliper pistons, bolts and nuts, tools, exhaust, etc. I can highly recommend that product.
