i hate how this movie portrays dunkirk as a moment where the british and french were holding out when its documented history that hitler gave personal direct orders to the army to let the british leave so peace could be made once france was taken

Doesn't really do the scenes justice. When I saw the film in theaters, the wail of the "Horns of Jericho" were terrifying.

Bakc then the Stuka was a nightmare sound. Nowadays, the drone sounds do the same

You have to admire that one guy who deigned to try shooting at the Stukas rather than going for 'duck and cover' like everyone else. I was almost expecting a group of them to join him. If they did, they might've actually been able to shoot one down..

I had almost exactly the same moment in the game War Thunder. I was on p-51 mustang and the opponent on Pe-8. My engine didn't work when they hit the anti-aircraft gun and then a falling bomb FAB-5000 on my allies and I shoot this bomb, explode it, but I fell myself.

These scenes were a great example of how terrifying the Stuka's sirens were in action, it gave insight to the psychological warfare used by these planes. However, I wish the explosions in the movie had more oomph behind them, it doesn't even look like there's a bomb exploding, it looks like the bombers are just dropping oversized boccia balls in the sand/water...

All those soldiers were running when they could've all started volley fire. They could've taken 1 down or 2 instead of hoping they didn't get hit.
