No love for VOLA? I enjoyed finding your channel this year. Hope you have a good 2025

Not super objective, but based heavily on what I've been digging/listening the most: 1. Poppy - Negative Spaces 2. BMTH - Nex Gen 3. Bilmuri - American Motor Sports (I was about to put this lower but 4 out of 5 top songs in my Wrapped was Bilmuri LMAO) 4. Make them Suffer (Biased a bit by the fact that they put on the fucking best high energy live metal show I've ever seen opening for Erra this summer) 5. Ankor - Shoganai 6. LP - From Zero 7. AURORA - What Happened to the Heart? 8. Knocked Loose - YWGBYST 9. Erra - CURE 10. Allt - From the New World 11. The Arcane season 2 soundtrack (😢) Honorable mention that technically came out last year: Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. I've listened to this album a lot lol. Also, it's always funny comparing to youtubers that rigorously investigate new music because there's like 50-60% of my listening this year was music from the last couple years, not 2024.

Man I was skimming through the video to find “popular monster” and idk if you mentioned it at another album but it was on the thumbnail, please if you don’t like the band or the band members don’t be rude!

Besides her vocal quality, Camile is a great visual performer too. Her moves are mesmerizing and seems like every little thing is intentional. Like, at 5:14, look at how she sings while she poses her feet preparing for the next section. The video is full os these little details that are so fun to watch and notice.

Sorry if there are any editing errors, I stayed up all night editing and I'm tweaking out lmaooo also, the video got blocked because I played YOUtopia in the background for some reason so I had to erase the song which made my audio sound muffled at the end of the video!
@helm_10821 сағат бұрын
I found another minor editing error, probably just a typo, but I noticed you accidentally put a “4” after the “1” on the Knocked Loose entry

Bro Near by Bilmuri is one of the most beautiful songs he’s done. Good stuff man. Goblin Hours is a great album too

New Novelists fan here. Saw them live recently and was blown away. Pierre and Camille are great additions to this newer lineup. I didn’t get into the band earlier when they had other members but I do appreciate their old sound now too. Their new sound is more up my alley though. So melodic and catchy

Great reaction and I reeeally hope they stick with this direction for the album 💯

I don't think he is making fun of Ohio, he lives there and records all of this music there.
@BabyBatPlaysКүн бұрын
oh I know, I was saying that any time someone mentions Ohio now I just think of the stupid Ohio memes lmao, I didn't think he was making fun of Ohio in the song, it was definitely a sentimental lyric!

19:55 I'm glad someone else picked on that 1975 vibe! His previous album, Goblin hours is VERY 1975ish. But this is hands down my favorite album of 2024. Great reaction dude!

God. I’m biased cause they’re my favorite band of all time but Prada has always been so ahead of their time. Paved roads for so many genres and subgenres. Love to see and hear the inspiration they’ve had come to be

One of my favs this year. Could you maybe check out I AM ONE - Following the rabbit hole? Djenty, electronic EP. Its actually a one big song split into 6 parts.

As other people wrote in chat, Boundaries is my aoty, but this is a closest second possible, the atmosphere in here is so scary, "formal" in a way

This EP is so monumental and killing, my fav release of this year without a doubt, if not the best heavy thing ever. Despite the whole EP being so perfect, I would choose No Lamb Was Lost, that last breakdown just Finishes me.

I hear people comparing the band to Spiritbox but honestly Spiritbox has nothing on Novelists instrumentally both are totally different in every way
@BabyBatPlays3 күн бұрын
I only hear the similarities with old Spiritbox like Perennial and the Spiritbox EP, but Novelists with Camille doesn't really sound like modern Spiritbox, it's literally just because they both have female vocalists
