As I said, there was honestly no need for this video since I mistook the beacon that one commenter was talking about. No idea this one had a sounder inside it too though (only a single-tone one from the sound of it however. My guess is that unlike some the visual & audible signals also can't be controlled separately either, right?).

these were about 106 db @ 100 ft, meaning you'd be able to listen to it at the distance that the original video was taken. at that distance, it'd be just loud enough that your hearing would begin to distort. p.s. there were only about 200 of them that ever existed, and there were about 100-200 songs that were played.

You do not need a manual. Just do not test it, then it will not make a noise.

@@bluecylinder You're right about that. The problem is, I'm not the one testing the alarm; it's usually triggered by children in the apartment block. I have three sounders in my flat, and I managed to lower the volume on two of them. The remaining one is very loud. I'm expecting a baby soon, and I'm worried that the very loud sound could harm my baby's hearing. That's why I need to either quieten it or turn it off. I know I shouldn't turn it off because it's for my safety, but I have two other sounders in my flat, and there are more outside as well so it's not a problem that I do not hear an alarm. Do you know how switch it of or reduce volume on this one? Can you help me please?

Fire alarm sounders are NOT designed to be turned off, they are to alert you to a FIRE. I doubt your baby will be sleeping immediately under a sounder.
