Andrew - listened a bit further on in the pod regarding you saying "there's no point getting therapy. Won't make a difference". In one sense U R correct and in another you have made a fatal mistake. 1) Therapy is treatment for an ailment. 2) Therapy might treat the symptoms without diagnosing the cause . U R then doomed to repeat your actions and then require therapy once more for the aftermath. This could make U finish therapy feeling worse than before. * You need a diagnosis chum. You need to be assessed first before you ever receive treatment/therapy * Example - The Mrs makes U go to the Drs because U keep getting chronic headaches but U don't think it's a big deal. I visit GP surgery. The Dr tell U they won't just hand over painkillers without first assessing/diagnosing U (unless they are a quack or drunk or high on their own supply). ((Assessment before treatment)) • Dr might think headaches are caused by •Dehydration •Stress •Lack of sleep •Injury •Infection •Something more serious that requires an MRI etc etc Diagnosis & Treatment - Dr concludes U R dehydrated =Drink more water. Conversely - If you just say "what's the point" and U just treat your headaches with painkillers but U have a head injury of some sorts then that's not going to end well. Get a diagnosis first not treatment. If anything, when U understand things a bit better it will give U an even playing field and give u a shot at being happier. Make things easier.
