Ross Lake Camps ~ What can I say my happy place for the past 20 years! Great outfitter, owners and opportunities. Ice fishing, spring brook trout fishing, lake trout fishing, bear, moose, grouse, deer are all excellent. The peace and enjoyment you get when you go there is amazing. Dan and Sharron have been making huge upgrades so families will be more comfortable. Do yourself a favor check it out great views, great place, wonderful adventures with top notch people

Thanks for that. I have big hands too. Did same thing. Set for 2 at wrong yardage. Lost few bolts. They told me I could shoot out to 100 yards. Honestly of all the deer I have with a compound, only 2 were long shots. 38 yards and 42 yards. Every other deer was inside 20 yards, with compound and crossbow. I'm almost always in think areas. 2 reasons I got it. My eyes aren't what they use to be. With this scope it's easy for me to see the single pin lit up. And the built in range finder. I've missed some nice bucks miss judging the distance and not having to get range finder out because I walked up on them. My wife doesn't know either. Shhhhhhh!!!!
@homesteadhero6276Ай бұрын
You'll find that you'll need to target practice any time you take it out. The scope is large and is easily knocked off center. Drives me insane

I know this is an older post but as far as shooting rails go, I use foam pipe insulation and I snugly wrap it in a spiral 2-3 layers thick. I have it on stands that have been in place for at least 2 years and have hardly any squirrel damage. I believe the tape being sticky detours them. Hope this helps 🤘🏻

Totally agree on the Kawasaki engines. Never one problem between two ExMarks with them. Will be looking to replace my mower in 2-3 years and am researching now, among them Wright, Scag, and maybe Ferris (biggest dealer near me is big on Ferris). That was the most frank and critically honest review I've seen in months. Thank you!
@homesteadhero62767 ай бұрын
I tried the scag turf tiger 2 and hated everything about it. I don't have a ferris dealer local, that would let me demo one. I consider these things the same as cars. If I'm going to thousands, I want to drive and cut with it first. I ended up buying the wright mower and absolutely love it. It's the comfort for me. No matter what speed I go, it's a smooth ride. Cuts great and stripes better than any mower I've tried. Which is saying something, because the dixie chopper can lay a stripe.

I'm with you. I prefer Kawasaki. I was recently told by an actual engineer (not a sales rep) I had a chance to spend some time with and talk to at one of the big brands that when they were designing one of their new models, they tested both the Kaw 38.5 efi and the VG 40 efi on a dyno and the Kaw consistently hit its rating but the VG gave between 32 to 34 hp per run on the dyno .

That reserve sounds like it's a Canned Hunting preserve, which is where animals are placed in a confined area with nowhere to run or escape to, and are able to be easily picked off by hunters, not to mention the animals are somewhat tame, unlike wild animals that are very skittish.
@homesteadhero6276 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say they "placed". They live on the 72 acres or whatever it is. But, they are rather tame and visit areas of feeding.
