This year it was amazing for catching swarms .. I got 2 swarm of bee's out of 4 that happened in late spring early summer.. then out of the blue I got a swarm about a week ago and I'm not far from Canada... And my passed experience of catching swarms is none for the past 8 years...

Swiffer sheets kill too many bees
@great07892 ай бұрын
I suspect... that each beetle not laying eggs... is saving a LOT more bees though. Also, the colony not needing to send off as many bees to chase them down, frees up workers for other jobs and is a major bonus. I will give this one a try.

So, if you have a nest within your home, how do you get them to move. I do garden and I actually plant things to attract bumble bees and dome other bees. However, I ended up with a yellow jacket nest in the crevis of my doorway and possibly in my siding. How do I get them to move?

I've mashed up 1/2 of a banana with about 3 Tablespoons of sugar, 3 drops of banana extract, 3 drops of apple cider vinegar, 5 drops of apple juice and one drop of PetArmor Plus for dogs. This is placed on a ceramic saucer, on a stand meant for plants, to keep our squirrels or hummingbirds from sampling it. The bait is being taken by quite a few Bald Faced Hornets. They're fighting over it.

Try using Murder Sauce, and your Swiffer sheets will be empty. It's amazing and cheap to make. Crisco, DE, and a few drops of Eucalyptus oil. I've gone 2 years now with NO hive beetles in any of my hives. Look it up. It will change your world.
@great07892 ай бұрын
How do you use that stuff? A few drops or small dish of it in the hive?
@tonyhill36382 ай бұрын
@@great0789 It's a paste. You just put a little smear in the top corners of the hive. The bees ignore it, but the beetles will eat it, get sick and the bees kick them out. Soon, you have zero or very few beetles.

I will. I think I am going to build another one soon. I have some ideas I would like to try and the one I have now was just thrown together using scrap to do a test run.
