When you got 50-lelm nicknames, but still a hater. 🤔💯

What!? Why did James say that? Clyde did great. Also, it wasn't his fault that James liked live tempos that were too fast.

James had that old skool mentality that many Black musicians had back in the day. As a musician myself, I dealt with that approach a lot in my early days. A lot of it came from how most of them got screwed so bad by managers and record companies. But a lot of it was also fueled by ego and greed, unfortunately. James had the entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to be a role model for young Blacks, but not at his own expense lol. The "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. Fortunately for Bootsy, being let go by James helped him find his own voice and was the best thing for him.
