Good ideas except spraying poison is harmful to not only plants but also bad for wildlife and humans. Cancer is bad.

Bought this battery charger with hopes that I could have it ready to go if my bike battery failed while I was on the road. The device never kept a charge more than a couple of weeks. Now it wont even charge. Absolute waste of money and a total rip off. You have been Warned!

I just got 3, not really for practice but for competition at the house. My dad is too old and unhealthy to be out there fishing these days. It will be fun to cast for accuracy against each other again.

What color hackle do you use? Do you ever fish this as a dry or just as a wet fly?

Brown hackle works fine for that pattern - and fished as a wet fly.

I was starting to think I made a mistake by reading all of the negative things about pull thru sharpeners. Payed $20 for it only because the $3 Smiths worked great on my other knives.

I don’t know that much about this topic but my understanding is that forestry management and tree cropping is an important way to prevent forest fires. I am wondering how this impacts cloud formation / rainfall.

I use the exact same detergent & earth scent wafers as you, but I take large leaf bags and put them over lawn chairs inside out & let them air out for a few months (I'm really cheap). I don't store my boots like you do but I should. I just spray them each time I go out. It has worked well for me for the past 15-20 years. Before that (1980's) I used non scented ALL detergent & fresh scent bounce as a cover. It used to work good but they changed the bounce formula & it got real perfumey.

Any bearings in the spool of a spinning reel are useless because the spool does not even spin. The only thing that bearing do for a spinning reel as they make the reel feel smoother and those bearing are in the handle shaft of the reel.

Thanks for the vids, great stuff. If you get a chance, look up this youtube video I discovered while clicking on salmon fly fishing searches : British Pathe Fly Fishing (1955), and watch Isabella Hermiston go to work. If my research is correct, ( looked in Kelso parish records-Genealogy) she's about 81 years old when she's doing this. She's amazing, in my opinion she ranks with Carrie Stevens, Mary Orvis Marbury, Helen Shaw, and any male tier I can think of, and all without a vise! Never heard of her before I happened to spy that vid.😀

I use to do the same, I'm deressing almost all my spinners, both treble and single hook. I belive they are more attractive as seen from the back and the dressing has a tactile sensation during the bite and makes the fish more confident.

I've fished them all and now use only one and catch at least 800 trout a year as well as the biggest trout of the year. Plus trout derby's 1st place. It took a long time to figure it out. I admit that I am not a very good fly tier but good enough to rise to the top of the lake Fisher's.
