Just a quick question if air damper is bad , will this cause ice build up on evaporator ???

So not exactly, but it could cause more moisture to accumulate since it is stuck open. How long does it take to ice up? Do you have any pictures? I would check your drain tube and make sure your seals are sealing. That Mullion make sure that it is not damaged

Seals i think u talking about doors , those r really good intact no leaks from doors seal...if any other let me know...drain pipe is open ..i saw water in back in tray, .when i turn off Referigerator so ice can melt, that seems to me no blockage in drain i collect plenty of water with towel to soak the tray..after i gave it break ice to melt down from evaporator , i turn on it again after 12 hour break and now after 5 hours its running and temperature reach to 37 F , i will check tomorrow morning what is temperature !

So it sounds like you have a stuck damper. The damper is wide open. When that happens it keeps the fridge too cold. . If you have pictures or videos send them so I can see the evaporator. You can put it in diagnostic and check the thermistors , fan and damper. I’ll check if I have a video. In the meantime check underneath the hinge cover for the technician sheet. Keep me posted

"Self cleaning is horrible. Don't do it. It will destroy your unit." Yep. It gets too hot. Plus... the kids, try to help put one Thanksgiving and onenof them puts the turkey in the oven to thaw while the other decides to use self clean without checking to see if the oven is empty. Just helping mom out for a Thanksgiving surprise... and they couldn’t get the door open after it started. They ended up eventually figuring out they could flip breakers until they found the right one after their mom came home. They found a nice sit down place to go to. And their house was saved. Firemen are busy this time of year. I saw one who got their oven fixed a year later and ended up with a long hole burned through the back of their appliance and a black hole in the wall they could swear they didn't know was there before finally confessing they noticed some smoke, which they didn't admit up front when asked. Huh. Weird.

My dryer is making a buzzing sound for 1 second as I hold the "start" button... The motor isn't spinning... It's a rear blower assembly, so I removed the back panel and checked the blower wheel and it looks fine... I can spin it and watch the drum move from behind. It still makes the buzz sound and won't start. I've also tried holding the door open and holding the door button while rotating the drum and pressing start and it doesn't do anything either... I'm almost certain it's the motor... My question is, would I be better off buying another cheap dryer or just buying a new motor? It's an older electric dryer, so to replace the motor I might as well replace the felt seals, rollers, and etc.... which would be pretty much as much as a new cheaper dryer... Second part to that question, would taking it apart and cleaning the motor and lubricating it with oil possibly work to get things moving again?

Send me a model number, what kind of dryer, Bosch? You might have a broken belt, belt switch, something caught inside. Yes definitely open it up and check. On the lubricant, no unfortunately you can’t do it. You can try cleaning the motor and see if it works. Lint can stop a centrifugal switch from making contact

In the past, I have successfully used hard start to start a compressor. Most often the compressor is getting old and requires a bit more effort to start. You can use a rubber mallet to tap it as well. If the compressor has frozen, not shorted , tapping it and a hard start might work. If it is shorted, unfortunately compressor replacement/new refrigerator

Sometimes My washer Overfills allot and sometimes a little less and sometimes it dosent what can the issue be?
@appliancerepairshorts
@appliancerepairshorts 10 күн бұрын
Check your valve. Here is how to check it, select cold first press start and let it run for a minute then press pause. The water should stop. Not put it on hot and do the same. Then put it on warm and press pause. It should stop. If it didn’t, unplug the water while it is running. The water should stop. If the water did not stop in any of those, bad valve. The next thing is the pressure tube or pressure sensor. The pressure tube on the back might be off causing it to overflow

If you’re leaking, you probably have a bad seal and gear case. Is it loud during the spin, when it was spinning? If yes , you need a new machine or the above mentioned parts. If you are not loud during the spin, you might have a leak somewhere else and might need a shifter or a lip switch

Hey man not sure if you will respond but I’m out of ideas. I have tested everything and believe the issue relies between the clutch and drive shaft. Coupling, transmission, and bearings are good. Basically I took apart everything so I can test just the driveshaft spinning with the motor. When I seat the driveshaft on the motor and turn the washing machine on it spins and seems like everything is fine. However if I open and close the lid it doesn’t spin anymore and won’t unless I take the driveshaft and support off and reseat it. The clutch is new and driveshaft is new, new bearings, all new seals. At this point I’m thinking the breaking system I bought is defective. Any ideas?

@sergiopitalua1636 12 күн бұрын
@appliancerepairshorts If it basically doesn't sense the clothes when starting, I should activate the shifter to spin the tub a little to sense how much clothes it has, but by not supplying power, the washer simply marks the cycle as finished after about 2 minutes of trying to spin. By testing I was able to prove that the card doesn't power the shifter but it does power the pump, which makes me think that the relay in charge of the 120v for the pump and the shifter is fine. I tried to remove the resin to see if a track opened, but removing the resin is impossible without damaging the card.

What are you talking about? What you are saying makes no sense whatsoever. I showed you should turn it off, but technically if you are quick you don’t have to. If you want to be technical, unplug the unit. You have no clue what you’re talking about saying the refrigerator is not worth repairing. I explained that she is on a fixed income, so you are saying that I should not fix it. Hot water is way more unnecessary, but it works. The steamer is ideal. You have to first know the value of the refrigerator, the time to get one, the downtime and the repair costs. That was an expensive unit. It’s been a few months and all is well.

The issue is people don’t empty their dishes, so crap builds up and slows down the motor. Then the motor gets stuck. Keep it clean and you won’t have a problem. It works 98% of the time. I have been doing this way before I started making videos. With older GE dishwashers, the motor would do that as well. Just a little turn and it is good.
