Thank you, your video made it easy for me to see that I could do this. I fixed my lg yesterday! Part was $20 and end though it shows it with the plastic clip, it came with the clip not attached, which made it much easier to snake through the wall. I flipped the wire and used the ceramic nuts.

ok I think I am missing something. How do you check to see if you are getting water to the ice maker? The water dispenser works. I had to turn the water off to the house during a week long trip; came back and ice maker was not working after I turned water back on? Thanks.
@appliancerepairshorts2 күн бұрын
Send me your model number, but you can put it in diagnostic to see if water is coming in. I think it’s 67 but I’ll confirm. I think it might be your ice maker fan that is not working. Also, reach in with your finger and see if you feel ice in the mold. If you feel ice, you are getting water and it’s cold enough to make ice. You can try unplugging the fridge first for 5 minutes and plugging back in then wait 24 hours to see if ice dropped. If not, it’s your ice maker that will need to be replaced.

What if the plate is not moving so where you started it is where it stays. Does not move at all so is in the same cycle. The plate is like some spots are flush and in other areas it has separation making no contact like almost warped.
@appliancerepairshorts9 күн бұрын
So if the timer is not moving at all, you can try manually moving the base under the knob. Move it to wash and see. If nothing, try drain and spin and pull the knob. Did it spin and turn off afterwards? You might have a bad lid switch or a bad timer. If you need more help, email me a video move slowly what you are doing. Good luck

Hi. It would work with Samsung as well?
@appliancerepairshorts9 күн бұрын
Technically yes, but it is very difficult. You have to install them on the washer. The rods on Samsung will not go through the slot once you remove them. A modern impeller can be better because it’s more efficient and the type style of washers and dryers, we are going forwards and buying newer ones when old ones cost more for repairs than the cost of a new one, not going backwards.

The main difference is the old one are built better, so the initial cost is not significant. The newer might be more “efficient “, but it depends on how you define efficiency. Old school runs forever. The newer ones don’t
