Our experience: No measurable improvement to depression. Debilitating inability to form short term memories, 2 years after the treatment.

Five ketamine injections didn't help my depression or OCD. Doctor told me if ketamine didn't work, then Spravato is not going to either. If it does work for you, I can only be happy about that.

It is a barbaric money spinner for the medical profession that "helps" people to forget what was troubling them, but when the memories resurface years later, the problems are impossible to resolve without coming to terms with a wasted life. Unless it is given with informed consent, and the information they are given is not just a glib promise to feel better, it is a crime against humanity that needs to be banned.

My ECT did not wipe out any painful memories and I assume that was the point of it? My suicidal depression was worse after 22-24 sessions of ECT than it was before it!

Thanks a lot ,I love the way you have explained. I have subscribe your channel for getting very important information from you.I have very important question for you please answer honestly. Because there are positive and negative things are spread in social media by patients but real truth or answer can give only expertise of specific area. Here is question for you. I am facing tinnitus issue like ringing sound for both the ear last 4 years. ENT doctor said i have mild hearing loss like 28 db he suggested hearing aid with masker.I have visited the clinic of Nuromodulation for the solution of my problem. Doctor suggested 20 sessions of rTMS with Low frequency for tinnitus left side near upper level of ear(Primary Auditory Cortex) and treatment for OCD for problem of forgetting some time lock the door or not thinking for reconfirmation wheter i have did this job or not ( forgetness the activities) for that high frequency in front area of the brain. There are two sessions in day the gap between two session is 40 minutes. I have completed 6 sessions days (6x2 sessions) with medication of Nexito 10 mg. But didn't get any improvement till now rather then some time I feel trimoring of body. Should i continue the session or stop ? Is my tinnitus and OCD will problem solved? What is minimum session i can take for see the result at least 1 % of improvement. Is it any long time side effect or any brain injury or memory loss or triommering? Let's assume If treatment is succesfully resolve the problem Does I need to continue after certain gap like down the 1-2 years later? Please answer my queries that would be really great for me and may be other patients who has same set of questions. Once again thank a lot for reading this much lengthy query. Please response me as soon as possible. Thanks and Regards, Jay

We take a kid from from Iraq and we throw him to a new planet with an alien civilization that is a hundred thousand years more advanced than humanity with teleportation devices and weird hovering technology and telepathic communication abilities and all sorts of crazy stuff, they figured out how to make their bodies immortal. Right so all this crazy stuff that they figured out from the wildest Science-fiction movies. We plop a kid from Iraq into that for a day and then we bring him back. That's a little bit more what it's like to take ketamine.

Agreed. Normally I don't have strong opinions if I can't back it up with more than personal experience, but I'm trusting my gut on this one. The only other person I knew using it said they had memory issues and after my third "treatment" I noticed immediately the memory of the procedure was mostly gone. I stopped immediately after that even though the doctor practically begged me to keep doing it. They even claimed I was already showing improvement even though I felt no different. Very very suspicious.

What about the people whose headaches don't go away? What about people who feel worse? What about the people whose lives are disrupted permanently? I don't think it is ethical to act like this type of therapy is harmless when we don't even know the long term effects. When lobotomy and etc were first put into use, they were touted as harmless too. We don't even understand exactly how this works so how am I supposed to trust the most valuable aspect of my being to this?

I want this treatment so bad. I’ve been on SSRIs for almost 20 years. I don’t remember what it feels like to not be on medicine and be happy. I got on them at age 13 and have tried so many every since. I’m 30 now. And I’ve tried so much therapy, which helps to an extent but… I just want help. Unfortunately, it’s so expensive for Ketamine treatments. And I can’t finance. I hope someday I will have the money that I can do this.

Hi Rachel, I have been on anti depression medication for 32 years, and I don't know what it's like to be happy! I have had 3 sets of ECT over the years. The last time I had it, it fried my brain and ever since then I have been worse! I'm a total mess. I have medical insurance, and I'm on a disability pension. I wouldn't be getting any esketamine therapy if I didn't have both of them. I feel 😪 sad that you can't get help! Because I know what it's like going every day and night being so down and out!
