This ferry will sadly be replaced around october, thats when they expect the bridge to be completed

We heard about this from one of the boat's men. The bridge will be much faster but it will be sad to lose the fun experience of the ferry!

You're right, it doesn't! 😅And yes the humidity is WILD!! When we've been able to get into the mountains it's all fine, but there's some long flat stretches where we'll just have to suffer for now 🙃

Shipping is the only way. As far as we know there's only 5 or 6 vehicles that have ever actually got through, and they were all modified Jeeps/and Rovers - not school busses 😂... Not to mention the gang activity happening there... 🙃

Watch out for the cartels. I have seen way too many (Van Life) vloggers traveling from Argentina to Alaska and they always run into cartels.

Thanks for the concern! We haven't had troubles in Mexico from cartels in the past, but we always do our best to stick to safer areas 😅

@@GlobalConvoy You don't really have to worry about the Mexican cartels, they understand the consequences of their actions. They pretty much leave American tourist alone. It's the cartels from Argentina through Central America that you have to worry about.

So if i wanna hitchhike from Tokyo, which road do you recommend me to hitchhike at?

We did this 7 years ago so things might have changed 😅 But what we would do was look at the main highways between the two cities we were trying to hitchhike between and get to the first service station on that road. Then wait around the entrance with our signs. People would see the sign as they came in and have time to think about picking us up while they got fuel/food, then come and ask us. Rather than people needing to make a quick decision if we waited by the exit. Hope that helps! 😊

Is your bus labeled RV on its registration?

Yes 😊 This means we have to limit the passengers to 15. But it does mean we don't need a CDL to drive it, although we did some training with some diesel specialists anyway just to be safe. It also makes a huge difference for insurance when driving between countries as RV's aren't intended to go to industrial locations so it's a lot cheaper!😅

Hey! 😊 If you mean the silver van, it was from an old friend and they had let us borrow it to keep the group moving around while we figured out what was wrong with the bus. To save on fuel and vehicle wear we put it in storage and then when the month was over drove it back to him. It's probably extra confusing as due to the lack of time on our end we had to stop editing our MAYhem 23 videos (Chicago to Las Vegas in the bus) and start putting out these PanAm ones (Alaska to Argentina in the bus). Once we're up to date we'll go back and finish the MAYhem 23 ones. Thanks so much for watching! 😁
