ZF6 adds so much more life to the C4 driving experience but they are SO rare, particularly on the L98 cars. C4s aren’t being sold at bargain basement prices like they were pre-pandemic; the manual gearbox adds a premium for sure.

It's not Rose Quartz Metallic. That was the color of my parents' '86 9000 Turbo, which was more of a darker silver with a tinge of purple in it. This is Sandstone Metallic.

Replacement fenders? You could do a video or two on that! How much for one? I learned years ago that to replace it entirely would cost $1000. Is that what you paid?

I think I spoke mistakenly, the parts I got are actually just the "Repair panel, Wheel arch rear outer left" from skandix but I believe I can use it to fix that fender rust as it has not progressed too badly. They were only 67 euro each but shipping is expensive.

Looks very tidy, especially the body considering it's from a rust prone area. Your colour maybe Magentabrun Metallic or otherwise known as Sandstone Metallic, you should have a paint code on the car, it might be 212B when you find it? Well done with the purchase. I own a 1997 9000 5-speed Aero in silver, the last of the line of 9000s.

Have not been able to fully explore the performance yet, but for its age its still very quick. The mind boggles how you can tune these things and the power you an attain - you just have to have deep pockets. Still I'm happy with its stock power - which is plenty on todays roads. For its age it had only two owners (I'm now the third), the guy I bought it off had it for 21 years. So it was well looked after, it still presents as almost a new car re paint, trim, wheels etc.

These little cars are really cool and I don’t doubt they would turn heads at a park or something just watch out when you’re in a parking lot area because real cars can’t really see these and I remember one time I flipped mine over and got it stuck as a car was headed it’s direction and it was right in the path of the wheel so I had to go running out and signal for them to stop to pick it up it was a bit embarrassing to say the least that I did that for such a tiny little device 🙄

Most of these kind of cars were parked due to some minor issue like a fuel pump.

A clear case of automotive abuse...... all done it’s a $90,000 car in top condition. The rebuild costs alone would be double that so it’s a home project with all the inherent Labour costs taken out! I’ve seen people spend $300.000 on these and get less than half back so caveat emptor! 🙈
