In the minute 2:38 how this people are doing this? Risking their life like that. After the problem they are calling for help. On that moment when you guys are stuck, please be strong and die without calling help. On this kind of rescues other people are risking their life. The same happen with caves digging those idiot are going in small holes..The authorities needs to charge to them the cost of the rescue. $$$$$

How on Earth do these videos have so few views? That gem cove is one of the coolest things ever. What you guys do is incredible and my burgeoning interest in diving is starting to outweigh my fear of water. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome video. I am a wreck diver but not tech certified so my dives have to be in recreational limits.

What is the procedure when laying new line? Do dou just leave it if the cave keeps going or do you go back in and replace it with a more permanent line at a later point?
@briankakuk6506
@briankakuk6506 Жыл бұрын
Hi Tehinke, it really depends on the system. In more popular caves, the line might be replaced later with "gold line" which would be considered the main passage in most popular caves. Offshoot passages usually remain with the smaller exploration lines like you see being laid here. The line being laid in this video will never be considered the main passage, so this line be "permanent line" even though it's not the main way on into the cave. Thanks for your comment and safe diving.

Both divers are using rebreathers made by a company called KISS. Edd is diving a model called Sidewinder, whereas I am diving a model called a SideKick These allow us to stay undrewater for longer periods of time and optimize the breathing gas for less decompression. We are both diving n DPV (Dive propulsion Vehicles that alllow us to cover more ground in a shorter period of time. Both divers are also using side mounted harnesses which allow us to mount our rebreathers and side mounted bailout cylinders on our sides. Mine is made by XDEEP, model Stealth 2.0 tec, and I think Edd is diving a Hollis Katana, but I don't know which version.

What is the bluulrry parts? Is that a salt/fresh water mix? Even at around 9:48 you can see it before anyone's been there, so it's not kicked up silt(?)

yes, the mixing zone between salt and fresh water. Called a halocline. Pretty awesome stuff.

I can’t believe this doesn’t have more views. We are watching premier cave divers explore virgin cave - such a privilege to see this without having to spend a lifetime building skills to do so. We are so spoiled.
