I think some time in the late 1980's. I don't know for sure. I'll see if I can find out.

How’s the restoration going?

It's a lovely rideable bike. I've been doing 10 miles a day on it now. I promise to post something soon. Thanks very much for enquiring. Are you working on anything at the moment?

I semi restored a Raleigh superbe, but are now in the process of fitting normal brakes, I hated the rod brakes, and I live in the Lake District and you need good brakes here

How did the move to brake levers go? Does that require cable stops? What about where the cable end goes?

You have to change the bars, put caliper brakes on, then normal cables, using frame clips to clip it to the frame.

Muy bonita bicicleta; que aro es?

Thank you!!! The rims are 26x1 3/8. I believe this is 590 ISO. The slightly smaller wheel diameter, to me, translates to making the bike feel nimbler to handle. Perhaps this make it more of a commuter, urban transport type of a bike - which i think is one if it's main intended goals. Thank you again!

Have you tried riding with a bell to announce that you are approaching someone on the trail?
@jacko-136 ай бұрын
Yes. I kind of like the personal connection of just telling folks I'm passing. Bells are great. On this bike that is use for shots, I simply havent got a bell for it yet! Thank you for the tip!
