Great interview Derek! That’s crazy you mentioned miles, and when he got the alterbridge gig, cause I had that convo with him too! We got to play one of alterbridge’s 1st tours. It was the spring jager music tour, and my band waiting 4 never got to open for them, and i remember talking with him about that! Just brought back memories. But ya man, killer interview bro

I saw the video one day on Much Music (possibly the only time they aired it during daylight) for Same Old Story from About Time, and it was the coolest thing I had heard since Offspring's Smash at the time. Then there was a skate board sim game at the arcade that had a bunch of other songs from that album on the soundtrack that were equally awesome and that's when I went to the CD store to order it. Those days the Epitaph records were like 23.99 to order in, which was a huge chunk of coin for a 12 year old.
