Looks like a lot of work. You might have been better off in a canoe.

Gotta hit that curler wave with the right front tube on the way down at quartzite, you end up straight down the middle! Broke an oar there myself

Awesome info! thx! what mileage do recommend people trying to do per day on the first couple days in low water (1.9'ish) should we do less miles the first couple days then more starting on day 3 or still do about the same every day? 6 day float. thx!

It's easy to make miles after pistol so like to take 2 nights to get there. First night somewhere between trail flat and sheep eater. Second night somewhere around big snag/dolly lake.

Thanks for the video! Do you know what mile Ping Pong Alley is at? I don't have it in my map and it seems like one that you should be ready for in low water. Thanks again!

It's actually called pin ball... ping pong is on the selway.. I got similar names on rivers mixed up.. I noted that in the description but I know a lot of people don't read that.

We're putting in at Boundary Sept. 21. I'd love to see the second half of this run at low water. You have the best footage I've seen at low levels. Thanks!!!

we had a couple big boats on the trip. one 16.5' custom Sotar and a lot of cats between 14 and 16. They didn't have it as easy but still made it down without too many headaches.

Cody, I have to say that this was a really great Salt. Reminds me a lot of the one that I did in 2017. I was supposed to launch today, but when the WMAT stopped selling the permits, and then we went under lockdown in Colorado, that was the end of that dream. Here's to next year for very much snow and an epic Salt River season! And, I love your orange boat. I bought a 12' RMR that's orange right after we did our Salt trip 3 years ago, and love it.

Thanks, I love my pro-Loks. The boat in the video has first gen pro-loks, my bigger boat has second gen. Pro-Lok has something different all together now, that I have not used but is still the same concept.

Hey, thanks for this great video! We launch August 17 and the water is predicted to be right at 1.78 or so! What boat do you row? Looks narrow but could be the camera. Also, how do you have those ammo cans attached to the frame? I see the strap but isothere design under the ammo can?
@codycleve85
@codycleve85 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks.. The boat is in fact little. I'm rowing a 10.5' rocky mountain storm in the video. The ammo cans are attached by attaching footman loops to the can. I drilled the can and then used washers with a rubber gasket and silicone to make a water tight seal.
