I'm from Watertown but I live in China and came home to see this. I am making my own video for the school where I teach science of the event, but I'd love to use this footage in a time lapse as well to supplement my own video, do you mind if I use it?

Hello from southwest of you! We had clouds, but I was able to see totality briefly as there was a short break in the clouds. There were a few breaks before that, and after that no breaks.

Had to come back and watch these vids again.. This is by far my favorite footage of the 2024 eclipse.. Brilliant shot..

This is one of the best videos I have ever seeon of an eclipse. I could really got the feeling. Think about mankind thousands of years ago. What must they have thought? Sunlight gets weaker and weaker and suddenly sun is gone. I am sure they thought this is the end of the world. And then sun ist showing again, what a wonder. I have never seen a full eclipse (I have seen one, but it was completely overcast), but I am sure it is soo much better outside in nature that with all these people around shouting, talking, celebrating, like in so many other videos.

When we were in Hopkinsville KY in 2017 there was zero cloud cover, but we were not able to see the approaching shadow like you were here. This is a much more spectacular view due to both your elevation, and also your ability to see the incoming shadow on the surrounding clouds. Awesome video !!! btw, my 2017 eclipse video should be on my channel.

Scroll the video with your finger, and you can actually see the moons' shadow come and go. So cool!

That was crazy!! I tried getting the shadow moving in as well from an overlook in the Ozarks, which I got, but only on the ground as it swept over the valley we were looking down on, the sun was too high to catch it like this unfortunately.. But damn good job..

Thank you so much for posting this! ❤ very neat to see it "raw." By the way, do we need glasses to watch the video? Lol just kidding. Not that I was eavesdropping, but "360 degree sunset is the perfect description" again, thank you so much! ❤❤❤

Even if no video can do totality justice, this is the one that comes closest, among all those I've so far seen. It's real-time and the dramatic effect of the oncoming and outgoing shadow cone is perfectly seen!
