Personal theory omniman didnt go for immortal first because he thought he was the heaviest hitter he did it because immortal would have been the only one capable of seeing who did it and coming back to tell the tale but if nolan actually got him he wouldn't have seen anything and just came back oblivious to what happened

Yeah probably But I also think it's both because he really was the strongest member besides Omniman himself With Omniman being way stronger Strategically if you take him down the whole team will go shortly after Warwoman may last a minute or two
