550 games to what is basically gold from a few seasons ago, with coaching from a former pro is one of the greatest climbs in league history i guess lol

He honestly baby rages a lot. Typical bronze mentality

I'm still rooting for him because I don't think its impossible. But as someone who watches him play a variety of stuff his mindset in this game just seems so much different. He tilts way faster, and I really don't think he's enjoying it like at all lol. I still think he can do it. I did Silver 3 - Plat 4 in 2 months this year and I have a full-time job. A big chunk of his job is playing the game, so its far from impossible. I had a pretty good climb. I played as a hardstuck silver player S3 - S(8 I wanna say?). I came back briefly during split 2 this year, played a bit, self-reviewed, and after about 1 month of playing I got a Veigar V2 coaching session. A month after that I hit Plat 4 (Plat 2 MMR). It was at this point in time I started seeing Emerald players, and the memes weren't memes anymore. People get way worse mentally starting at the bottom of Emerald. But I digress. I think if he got an actual Jungle coach, and really put his mind to it then he could do it still. To be honest I'd love to see VV2 coach him, I think it would avtually do wonders.

Imagine being diamond and being an asshole to a bronze player who just doesn't understand the game yet and is trying to improve.

Really good breakdown! I think he also needs to be a little less teamfight focused until he can get up to Silver 3 at least. I love teamfights, but the reality is that bronze players have issues remembering to hit turrets for some reason so any character that can take turrets down is going to carry.

Its always fun looking at players who can carry a low elo game explain to a player who cant do the same say that you are dog shit regardless of how well the individual player performs. i will never stop advocating for riot to remove the ability for low elo players to stop first timing champs in ranked and send them back to draft and blind pick games or even aram.

respectfully i hate the argument "it's not your teams fault you're losing", it absolutely can be. Its not your teams fault if you mental boom because they're playing poorly but 100% they can lose you a game. If you're playing ranked and your top laner feeds, and dies to a tryn 10 times, and the tryn is 11 cs a minute top lane and 3 levels up against a comp with little to no CC, then you lost. You can only influence how you react to having bad teammates, and try and not have a mental collapse from it, but everyone knows bad teammates can prevent you from winning a game. 99% of the people aren't challenger, so 99% of people aren't going to be able to abuse mistakes that enemies make all the time.

This tbh, I believe scaled up over say 100 games yes you are one of the only factors across them all but so is you having team mates and those are luck, so focusing on you makes sense but sometimes you will lose even on good games bc of team play, I have had a Draven go 2/20 and their suppoort wasnt much better. 20 kills worth of gold from just one person will make a game way harder to win. You can try your best and it might allow you to come back but realistically in a "balanced" game that means the other team wins. But I think that is what they meant by some times you are just going to lose, and thats why they said aim for a 60% WR bc sometimes you will play bad but sometimes you will just lose bc of things beyond your control.
@EladOSRS2 ай бұрын
@@RavenCRTR ye, the only chance of coming back with said 2/20 draven, is if he continues to put in effort, but thats just not the case 90% of the time. They'll ff vote, and if team votes no, then they'll just rage farm until you lose.

Don't think he was saying it's not your team's fault, in fact he was saying in at least 33% of games it is their fault. His argument seemed to be more "it's not your team's fault you're not climbing."

I agree with a lot of what you say but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on "Never Surrender". There are some games where you just have to surrender because the ratio of LP to time spent in insufferable circumstances is just not worth it.
@motteden18032 ай бұрын
Yeah, there are absolutely games which are insufferable, it happens. But, I would venture to guess 80% of games surrendered that are played are not those games. Majority of the time, you will win at least 15-20% (maybe more, could be slightly less in higher elo) of those surrendered games. So, LP-wise, it would make sense to play out the games, cause you will end up LP positive majority of the time for the time committed to playing. Just from my personal experiences at least!
