Groomer told me that they use "Zero." I purchased to start grooming my dog at home and I purchased the Wahl KMC+ which has 10, 18mm which is too short. What attachment do I need? I asked on Amazon's website and it looks like they sent the wrong one.

I'm afraid I don't know what a 0 length is, I'm in the UK and 0 is a US comb attachment length

I would normally use a 5f or 7f on my client Yorkies, anything longer tends to leave the coat choppy

Hi, it's been 3 years since you published this video but I found it now, cause I am looking for a shampoo i can use for psoriasis. Most is horrible. I just wanted to say that you have naturally curly hair, same as me actually. If you ever wanted to have natural curls, and never did it before it is possible to have them. I sm saying this cause i was never told and i believed my hair is just super straight and messy

Would you need to add the length the blade cuts to the comb length? For example a wahl 10 blade cuts 1.8mm on its own, combine it with a number 2 comb which cuts 6mm wouldn't the final length be 7.8mm? Or if the number 2 comb is combined with an andis 30 blade which cuts 0.5mm wouldn't the final length be 6 + 0.5mm = 6.5mm So what im asking is does the blade size under the comb change the final length like the examples above, or does it cut at the stated comb lenght regardless which blade is used underneath?

You don't need to factor it in really as the difference is so minimal, especially when using a 30. You'll notice a difference in finish between a 10 and 30 though, I've always found 10 to leave a far choppier finish

Ask your friends where they trained and if they'd recommend those places! Also see if you could find someone to shadow for a few days to get a good feel for the industry

I am a dog groomer of 13 years and owners are so unaware of how difficult it is to do scissor work on dogs. We are expert dog movers and handlers. You may think we're being rough, we are not, mummy dogs grab their pups by their necks and do no harm. Trust us we know what we are doing.

Hi thank you for video I have a 14 wk toy poodle when is it best to get full groom I am getting mixed messages. Also I have done some research on best trimmer and for toy poodle it points towards the andis trimmer could you recommend a trimmer plz thank you in advance xx

You should start taking your puppy to a groomer as soon as they're allowed outside after puppy jabs. This isn't for the full works, it'd be for a "puppy intro" session that includes a bath & blow-dry, brush through, nails and a small tidy up. These sessions are super important to get dogs used to being groomed in a professional environment. Full groom completely then depends on your puppy's confidence levels, that'll determine when they're ready for it. And in terms of trimmers, I haven't used Andis so I can't comment on their quality! I personally use Heiniger Saphir clippers and Mastercut 5-in-1 trimmers

I am not a groomer and I’m watching this three years later becomes I’m more allergic to cats now that I’m older even though I was as a kid as well, as an adult it’s so hard to manage. I was wondering if the air generated by animals is just technically bad for all people to a degree. I think this video was insightful.

I'm a little bit of a coward. I'm using scissor cut entirely. I have a clipper but I haven't gotten brave enough to use it. With this new illness out there. I am no longer taking my poodle to the groomer not risking Getting respiratory illness. So we're puppy clipping all over a little shorter around the bum And i'm happy with not having the shaved snout She looks really good and she's very cooperative. I need to learn how to use the clipper on Her feet Though So they don't get wet and Icy w winter starting.Loved your content ALITTLE FAST🎉,played 3x to catch it all

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this illness that's going around! Is it airborne like kennel cough is? If yes, you dog can unfortunately pick it up from literally anywhere other dogs have been present. I'm sure groomers in the areas with the infection are putting in extra measures to disinfect all of their areas between all dogs and monitoring for symptoms. I'm super inactive on KZbin as I've found TikTok much less time consuming, so if you're on the platform go give me a follow (thedoggroomingnerd there as well). I'll be filming tutorials soon. 😊
