Reminds me of that Class 373 Eurostar left out in France minus the graffiti. Seriously that beautiful piece of machinery needs a face lift.

This is a Series 0 Shinkansen 21-100 preserved in Tsutsujigaoka Park, Akishima City. It was used as a civic library and was nicknamed the “Shinkansen Train Library,” but is now closed. Although its role as a library has ended and its paint is now deteriorating, it is still preserved in the park and can be seen from nearby. As of 2024, a crowdfunding project is underway to bring this Series 0 Shinkansen back to life again as a beautiful new landmark. The project aims to repair the paint on the cars and erect a roof to make it “a facility with an open space for relaxation and interaction.
