Shir Hamaalot tehillim 126 is recited on Shabbos and chaggim, not weekdays. On weekdays tehillim 137 is recited.

I believe for every drop of rain that falls A flower grows I believe that somewhere in the darkest night A candle glows I believe for everyone that goes astray Someone will come to show the way I believe I believe I believe above the storm the smallest prayer Will still be heard I believe that someone in the great somewhere Hears every word Every time I hear a newborn baby cry Or touch a leaf Or see the sky Then I know why I believe Every time I hear a newborn baby cry Or touch a leaf Or see the sky Then I know why I believe (Why I believe)

Israel and “other peoples”? That’s so divisive and not at all loving and unifying. No human is better than an other. All one under g-d.

The notion that there is a female Jewish Rabbi in Judaism is Funny since a Jew Male prays in thanking God that he was born male lol … Seperation between Light & Dark, People of Israel & the rest of the world ! What kind of Racism is this ?
@YippeeSkippie426
@YippeeSkippie426 8 ай бұрын
Your questions are designed to challenge rather than to learn. So, you won't believe anything we say here anyway. Go talk with an Orthodox rabbi about your questions and really listen. There is nothing racist about these prayers, anyway. Go learn, in person, and perhaps you'll understand the true nature and mindset of these Jewish prayers.

What do you do with the left over wine in the cup, do you throw it out and wash the cup? What about the candle, do you rinse it out? What about the spices? Do you throw them out and wash it to keep it clean for next week?

What I do is hold the candle over a container and after the last blessings of Havdalah, and after I drink at least 1.5 oz. of the wine, I use the rest to pour over and extinguish the candle. As for her - yes, pour out the cup and rinse. Spices are in a sealed container that can be opened by partially removing the cover or opening part of the lid. They'll stay fresh for a long time that way. There is a spice mix for this purpose but I just use cinnamon :-)

I came here from a post on social media about how these candles are getting negative reviews on online retailers, clearly written by non-Jewish individuals who saw a pretty candle and bought it expecting it to just work like any normal tabletop candle. I'm not religious, but I can't help but appreciate beautiful art when I see it - and when I _hear_ it, too.

singing like this is far from jewish, the only reason we sang Hebrew from siddour was because it gave us time to reflect on the words we only used for prayer..in other words very few used it to speak or read in the past., besides your melodies are nice but they are not within the Aramaic arabic jewish original reciting styles.
