The center radiator goes for around $4,000 and the other two are around $3,200 each. A water pump to move all that liquid stuff will set you back almost $8,000.

My budget never allowed me to move into Fuhrmann´s engines but I certainly learned everything there was to learn about the 616 type pushrod engines for my 912 and I fondled my first big bore kit from Japan like crown jewels when it was time to rebuild! I once did see a four cam on an operating table and was amazed not to find reliable marks on the crown bevels so as to even have a chance of getting the cams set to match the drive shafts...not a mark anywhere... my heart sank and I stuck with the 616s and never regretted it!

It's hard to identify a Sport. All Komfort models had a filler door on both sides, both rear wings. Where as a Sport only had a filler door on its right rear wing.

I seem to recall years ago reading somewhere the the assembly time at the factory for one of these motors was huge because of the complexity of properly setting up the cam timing. What is the approximate assembly time now vs a pushrod 356 motor?

I had the luck that I had a fatherly friend, who owned a 924 GTS Clubsport! So I got the experience to drive this car!Absolutly amazing experience! One of the ever perfoprfing car I ever drovbe except of the Audi RS8....

masterpiece... and truly an amazing restotation. congratulations from a guy growed up in Brescia where parents were use to bring children to see the 1000 miglia every year. I'm also a proud owner of an ivory/red 1957 t1 coupe that I immensely love. I know there is a terracotta speedster here in Italy, not so early but I believe it's original. the owner didn't know about yours...
