Looks like a weed barrier laid on a freshly built road/driveway sub base and more base being conveyed over top of it to keep it weighed down so the wind does take off with it. Boring to say the least.

Interesting use of a stone slinger and will truly speed that portion of road building. Amazing how the simplest of inventions take the longest time to come along. Kudos to the person behind the thought.

I think what there doing is putting down landscaping tarp witch prevents vegetation from growing threw. the stones are to weigh it down before the sub base is put on.

design improvement have approx 5 pipes hang off the back and feed the gravel thru the pipes. this should produce less waste while still keeping the weight required to keep the tar paper material from blowing away..

to all those who don't know I think it is a roadbed under liner developed in the early 70s making the road last longer it is a 3m product first tested in Oklahoma city circa 1972

+mikeelp23 That's a preliminary stage of road building Mike and it is a great new technology with massive time saving implications, that they are demonstrating. But why are so many people with no connection to Civil Construction watching this video, I mean 5,324,169. WTF.

+John Lane 5.324.169 views i can explain. You see Cadtruck closely resembles CAT, i dont mean the company i mean the animal. Now youtube thinks we all love cats and i thinks we are a bunch of idiots and at least the second one is true. So all the youtube algorithm sees in "Cadtruck.wmv" is Ca- typo - t ... rest doesnt matter. And now youtube thinks we all have to watch it since its about cats.
