Oh, and excuse me ? "Independent filmmaker"? Are you already senile there Jamie Lee? Does the name "Coppola" not ring a bell? These people are just sick making.

So he had depression. Now he is better. I had depression 2 times for 2 months.. I coped with it and i gone out.. Best advice for people with depression. You don't force it but you have to dreag yourself through it. For instance doesn't work. But dragging yourself understanding what happened. Drags your out. Slowly. Medicine can mask. But i had to. Use sleepiness pills myself.

Your soul by nature just wants to be as authentic as possible. We become out of alignment when we keep presenting a front to the world to be likeable or attractive. We lose everything that makes us individual and authentic.. no wonder our internal system is screaming or goes the opposite way and becomes numbed and depressed.

That advice works for Jim. He's acted as so many different characters I'm sure it's easy to lose who you really are. But what does the person do that's depressed that hasn't been playing a character.

I respect Jim Carey i think hes a really funny guy, but hes wrong here. People suffer from depression for various reasons. Its not nessessary u created a character and ur body telling u that u need a 'deep rest'. Depression has nothing to do with the words 'deep' or 'rest', otherwise it would be called deeprest and not depressed. big hugs to all those sufferring from depression.

Such a hopeful and helpful commentary… I’m grateful to have learned from JC … I can’t stop thinking about how his profound deeply meaningful helping thoughts are greeted … it’s like he is with cavemen grunting … his interviewers sound like they are taking a dump on the toilette 😂

I have depression, and I can relate to everything he said (before the spiritual mumbo jumbo and the pseudo-deep woo; I’m an atheist and a physicalist). It’s not just “sadness,” it’s like your brain is literally sick and can’t get out of bed.
