@@DisneyInOhio we were only there for a few hours on Saturday, but it was a lot of fun! Didn’t see any of the speakers, but we found a few plates, a country bear jamboree vinyl record, a pin, and an old Dumbo wheaties box from the 50s. If we stayed any longer we would have spent too much money 😂 Trying to save for our trip to Orlando in less than a month!

We definitely need to make our way to there ourselves. Although we won't be able to bring much back with us. But it would be great to see what' they have.

Yes definitely excited for our trip. It is very much needed. And we need to get together more often than just once a year. Hopefully Cheryl gets to come down next year as well. It's been way too long since we've seen her!

We love Chef Mickey too! Especially the breakfast buffet. Can never go wrong by starting out a Magic Kingdom day with the classic characters and unlimited Mickey waffles. Also, I don't miss an opportunity to visit the Contemporary. I love old school WDW.

@@DisneyInOhio we flew in just before they Closed everything for Covid. We were the last breakfast. It was eerily empty. But the food was great. & With it being only like 10 tables. No lines & the Characters gave us individual attention. Then compared to night time around Christmas 2023... It was packed & everything just felt rushed & different. But now since we've moved here to Florida we'll have more opportunities to explore all the things & places we didn't quite have time to do while on VayKay. Now you can't give me crap about living in Michigan. Lol. Ohio will still always be #1.

Thank you! And we totally understand about not wanting to take the time out for character meals. Especially one outside a park. But if you do have an off day, then we definitely recommend Storybook Dining. The entire experience is top notch. The characters, cast members and food were all top notch. And the food! The food was delicious! This may sound silly, but the carrots were THE most carroty (in a good way) that I have ever had. I seriously could just order a plate of carrots as an appetizer lol

Hey! Awesome to hear you had a great June trip. Did you stay on property? If so, where? We have a trip coming up in December. Headed back to Universal, but we will be doing a Christmas party. We have to get our Disney fix of course. Really wanted to stay at Pop for the week. But with Allison graduating and starting college soon we figured we should probably save some where we can lol We still have a video from June we were working on but I just haven't found the time with work and all. Not exactly timely, but we will probably put it out at some point.

@@DisneyInOhio we stayed at an air bnb near Celebration. It was a lot easier because we brought our dog and had a pretty big group! Hopefully you guys vlog the Christmas party. I’ve never been but always wanted to go! I definitely understand saving where you can, everything is going up right now. Disney raised a bunch of their prices a few weeks ago. That's a great idea. I can tell you our thoughts have changed since filming these in December. We may have been way more negative at the time, but since Iger has come back we feel Disney is in a positive upswing. And we'd be more open to returning.

Man that Ratatouille queue is rough. I think it's the narrowish corridors and lack of air flow. It really felt like we were packed in like sardines lol Liked the ride though, but it did sort of feel like a toned down version of either the Spiderman or Transformers ride at Universal. Have fun in June! Right now we're planning on heading down to Universal at the end of May to early June. We're doing a trip along with another family from Allison's marching band so not sure how much if any we would be recording.

Yes actually they did. It was really funny and one of the storytellers yelled back "If you said puddle, get out!" Such a good show.

Yes they cut a lot out of the show. Thankfully they kept all the really good songs though. If they would have cut out Go With The Flow I'm not sure we would have ever gone back lol

Good question. And it's tough but I'd have to go Music 1, Movies 2 and Sports 3. We've only stayed in Movies for just one night though. Living with the Land is one of our favorites, day or night. And you're 100% correct. The experience is different depending on the time you ride. We were not expecting how awesome the holiday overlay was. It's amazing all lit up at night, can't say enough good things about it.

As far as Lori's collection goes, it's an obsession at this point lol But I'm an enabler because I know they make her happy. And I'm happy when she's happy, so everyone benefits. Funny you mention Disneyland, that's probably going to be our next stop. Getting to all the Disney parks is definitely on my bucket list. Glad to hear you had a great trip. Had you been to Disneyland before? Was it a little slower since it was early January? I know it may not be realistic to go to the parks everyday if we were to move to Orlando. However, we COULD go lol The main reason I want to move is because I can't hardly take the cold anymore. And we've really been lucky that we've had very mild winters the last couple of years. But still, I want to be done with shoveling snow and scraping windshields.

Collecting disneyana is one of the most fun parts of being a Disney fan-and it’s fun when different people collect different things This was my third trip out to Disneyland, but the last time I was there was March 15, 2020, so I was literally in the park when Disney announced all of their parks were closing due to Covid 😬 I would definitely be anticipating seeing your guys’ videos from a Disneyland trip! It is amazing. I will say, Disney is super magical and special because it was the first, the vibe is different, Walt was there, and there’s SO much to do-but one of the most underrated things about WDW regulars going on a trip to Disneyland is California Adventure. It is a great, unique park-and experiencing and entire new Disney park as a Disney them park fan is my favorite experience. It was still pretty crowded, but probably not as bad as before the new year. We did Genie+ for our Disneyland park day and that was TOTALLY worth it. I definitely hear you on the cold. I’m so sick of the weather, but Ohio summers are so perfect. I’d like to be a snow bird-but it’s pathetic for me to even think about that because I’m only 25 🤣🤣🤣

Oh wow. Yes, that was super close to when things shut down. But at least you got in a final dose of magic before things went down. We've been discussing it for a while and we're sort of nervous about going elsewhere just because no other park has anything close to Epcot. But, IMO, that's exactly the reason we need to go to other Disney parks. They're all unique and offer very different experiences. I spend a lot of time on Google Maps checking out all the international parks. I like seeing pictures and videos people post showcasing the food, rides and atmosphere. And a lot of the parks have been mapped out by the street view team so it's like you're virtually walking in the parks.

@@DisneyInOhio I agree with you that there is not going to be anything comparable to Epcot there, and I will say, having been to Disneyland 3 times and Tokyo Disney once, I still think that Walt Disney World is my preferred destination. The scale and "bubble" feel that WDW provides is pretty unmatched. WDW also provides a bit more relaxed feel for me because I am not trying to rush onto attractions I have been on hundreds of times, and the parks quite honestly just don't have as much. With that being said, you guys absolutely need to go experience Disneyland. I would be so interested in hearing your thoughts, particularly Steve's thoughts on the history, because I know how much you appreciate the Disney history. If you guys do decide to go and want any tips from my trips, just let me know. It is so much smaller, so staying at a non-Disney hotel is much cheaper, and I have made the flight from Ohio multiple times.

Yeah I could go on and on about Magical Express, but it's not coming back so there's no point. We go on. Regardless, this is still our happy place and it holds so many great memories. And we hope that new leadership will continue to make decisions that appeal to fans and families.

Yes we are doing great thank you! We went to WDW in December. Still trying to make the first couple of days of videos watchable TBH. We took our main camera to the parks but dropped it and broke the lens on our AK day and had to scramble lol. Hope to have our day 1 posted on Friday.

Oh no worries. Thankful it was just the lens and not the camera itself. I would have cried if it was the camera body since it's my favorite. But we switched to our GoPro when that happened and I think everything came out OK on it. Had a great time any way.

We're doing great thank you! Hope you're good as well. And yeah, about that September trip lol We moved it to early December for a few reasons. Scheduling problems around Allison's band competitions and the huge difference in weather were main factors. Plus, Christmas time is my favorite time to be at WDW so it made the decision to move it much easier. The biggest drawback is that we were going to be at Pop in September. But they didn't have any rooms available there in December so we had to switch to All Star Sports. Not our favorite, but at least we'll be at Disney. We really wanted to stay at Pop because of the Skyliner, but we'll be renting a car so we'll be able to avoid the busses thankfully. Not sure when we'll be back at Universal. Our passes expire in September and we don't have any trips booked or plans to renew. But when we do go back, we'd definitely give Blondies a try again. The food we had was pretty good. Hope you get to go to Disney in January. We went in February a couple of times years ago and they were some of our favorite trips!

Universal is loads of fun but I have done everything at both parks so much, especially the last few years. I’m really excited for Epic Universe to open so we can have some new experiences. I remember seeing in a vlog a long time ago you guys didn’t want to say the word universal, so I was surprised to see you guys have been going! You guys should do a video discussing why you changed your mind and compare your experiences with Disney. That would be interesting. Funny you mention that about Pop. I was planning to stay at all star movies in January, but the Skyliner being at Pop is so appealing! It really does change the value of the resort. We will see. The price difference may not be worth the just the skyliner. Is there anything else you guys really enjoy about Pop compared to the others?

Yes! We are heading back to WDW in December. Universal has been fun. But Disney is our happy place. We cannot wait to get back "home"

We will be there end of September-beginning of October, staying at POP this trip.

We weren’t able to use the Disney+ discount. We tried adding it online but couldn’t because the reservation is in Ashley’s name and Disney+ is in mine. When we called the CM said all of the promos for POP were gone.

Aw, sorry to hear that. I know those rooms were going fast because we were looking into it as well. It wasn't an amazing discount, but better than they had been giving in quite a while. But at least you're going and staying at Pop. That's our favorite resort. Hope you have a great time!

Well we're glad City Works lasted at least a little bit longer than the NBA Experience. Never got to go there before they shut it down. Also didn't get to go to Disney Quest either. Would have loved to have gone to both for the experience. Would definitely go back to City Works. I kinda liked the vibe there. Not the best, but solid. But there are so many places we still need to try at Disney Springs first.

@@DisneyInOhio I was able to do NBA experience and I loved it! I’m probably the only person who did, though. I’m a huge NBA/Cavs fan lol

We like to try things at least once. Just like trying new foods, you never know if you'll like it until you try it. There have been so many times that I thought I'd never like a show or a ride, only to try it. Then I found that I really enjoyed it. The Nemo show is a prime example. The very first time I saw the show, I thought there would be no way I'd enjoy it. But it turns out it's one of my favorites now. Not saying the NBA Experience would have been the same. But I feel like I would have enjoyed it. Basketball was a game I was bad at but I loved playing anyway. And I can really appreciate how good these players are.

@@DisneyInOhio Nemo is amazing. NBA Experience was definitely fun, but I was able to get in for free with a CM, so I do not know if I would have enjoyed it as much if I had to pay. Trying everything once is definitely a good idea! I was not super thrilled about the Bourne Experience at Universal, but I went in with an open mind and absolutely love that show now!

Yes same here. We love the Bourne stunt show as well. And the horror make up show too. That screen at the stunt show is just amazing.

Yeah it may be a while before we go back. We don't blame any of the workers. They all were running their tails off. Especially our server, he was doing it all. We really hope they find some help. The nachos are our favorite 😀

Yeah I'm not a huge water park fan as you can tell lol But I did enjoy resting and getting some sun. Even though I did get pretty burnt. Highly recommend Fords Garage. Good food and great service, we'll definitely go back next time we're down there. And we did get to do some shopping the very next day I'm happy to announce lol

The way I look at it, if waiting an hour to pay for my food is the worst thing that happens to me today then today was a good day. Allison came back last week from Europe and had an AMAZING time! Maybe we'll even get over there ourselves one day. Would love to go to Disneyland Paris at least once lol

Hey! Hope all is well with you. We were planning on going to Dayton Disneyana next month but we just booked a last minute trip to Universal just a couple of days ago and will be gone unfortunately. Maybe we can meet up for lunch or something one day though when we get back. Hope you do a video of what you find there though.

We've never noticed it before but you're the second person to say something about us eating nachos so we must have an addiction 😂 And we are getting back in the groove of things. As a matter of fact we actually have a video going up today. We recorded it back in December but due to a few things going on we didn't get it edited until recently. We have a couple of trips booked in the coming months so we promise we'll have more timely videos coming as well.
