Fallout Wars 2: Attack of the Ghouls

Imagine giant feral ghoul hordes as a gameplay feature in a new Fallout game. Would be a great addition to the lore. Maybe even a central premise to a game. Could be an interesting take on the zombie apocalypse genre too, would provide an interesting dynamic of tensions between ghouls, feral ghouls, and wastelanders.

I actually wonder how successful such an attack would be. The elevator seems like the biggest bottleneck to their invasion, since not only can it just be disabled, but only a few soldiers at a time can get down there, soldiers that would be easier to overwhelm.

This was freaking awesome! Though I don't think 0the Institute would need a vertibird to get to the Prydwyn. Nor do I think they'd go for this direct of an approach. They'd take out those relay preventing things at the airport using their operative or a few Coursers, and then swarm the BOS from within and without. Then they'd relay onto the airship and take everyone out. That's assuming they don't hack LP like they did in the game proper. Without Sole Survivor intervention on behalf of the BOS, the Institute just wins. The BOS may have better firepower and probably superior soldiers on an individual level, but their soldiers are finite and replenish slowly. The Institute can literally manufacture theirs in a matter of minutes, fully grown and fully capable of combat. Their gen 1 and 2 synths feel no pain and will literally fight until the very end. Moreover, the BOS has to fly their troops in or somehow transport them, while the Institute can usually just teleport them in where needed, even behind enemy lines, giving them a huge tactical advantage. I don't even think destroying the CIT as you do in most endings truly gets rid of the Institute. They probably have loads of other facilities hidden around the Commonwealth and even outside of it. Why wouldn't they? The living space under CIT is limited, and given the giant army of synths they must have, they'd need somewhere to store them, train the Coursers, etc., and so I suspect they must have additional facilities beyond their central headquarters. It'd be foolish of them not to.
