One of the most influential and important bands ever but never received their due!! It was seeing Johnny and the Ramones live in '78 back home in NYC when I was 13 that inspired me to pick up the guitar...RIP-johnny

Shot by Otto! This tape was legendary. He didn’t leak this for quite some time and it’s easy to see why, it’s amazing. I remember finally getting a copy two or three gens down from the master but having to trade three show for the one. Lol. Haha good times man. Great copy! Looks fantastic.

CBG - Connecticut Bootleg God! That’s Mike Tishenkel. We traded tapes for many years. Great to see his work living on!

Hey man, thanks for the shout out in the description. Very kind of you. Did I sell you a copy of this somewhere along the way back then? I used to provide copies at a record show in Coral Springs mall and also to a vendor at the Dade county youth fair. I was all of about 17 years old when I shot the shows at the sporto. That’s a Panasonic full size VHS camcorder. We had an off duty police officer who worked the side door of the arena and he would let his daughter and a couple of her friends into the side to sneak up to the balcony to watch shows for free. We’d put the full size camcorder in a big purse of hers and because it was her dad’s, he never checked it. I’d put the 2x zoom lens in my crotch and assemble it once upstairs. When I zoom back, you see the black circle of the extension lens around the perimeter of the screen. There was a network of us in the states and Canada who traded tapes. A guy named gray in New Jersey, Mike in Connecticut and Frank chase in Poughkeepsie New York. I forgot the Montreal guy’s name, but there was also Otto in Detroit. One time I flew up to giants stadium for monsters of rock 1988 and me, gray and mike all shot the show from three different angles. That was a lot of fun at 17 years old. Glad to see these in circulation on KZbin. It’s amazing how they just have a life of their own some 35+ years on. I don’t have any of the masters anymore. There was a great guy who superseded me in miami - will Salas, and I believe he’s got a channel on KZbin here now with literally hundreds of shows he shot right after my time in 88-89. Way more prolific an output of work than I ever did. Great generation on this copy too. And you kept my header / intro in tact. That’s freakin awesome lol. At that time in 1988 it was tipper gore and the Parents Music Resource Center going after hard rock and heavy metal. Since I thought I needed a company name, some of my video headers from the Sportatorium shows reads “PMRC” as a goof on their organization. Of course being myself and the traders we met through illegal long distance codes to call dial up 300 baud bulletin board systems (the original Internet). Lol. Good times man! Anyways, thanks again. Cheers!

I only lasted 2 minutes. Some the sloppiest live music I ever heard. Genes bass lines are a mess and Aces lead was off key

I caught this show 10/20/89 in Würzburg, Germany, with Skid Row opening. Great show if I could remember half of it I remember Seeing Sebastian Bach just completely headband his way thru Motley Crew’s whole set behind the drum riser

I saw that tour when I was in junior high and it was my first concert, what a way to start my live music adventure. Worst concert was Elton John. He acted like he was bored and didn’t want to be there and no audience interaction. Best was the eagles for the sound and show very polished

He was almost 57 years old at this time. He never seemed to lose any of his vocal endurance. After all those songs he belted out I would have been exhausted!

Absolutely..... I had the privilege of seeing this tour in Albuquerque in 1987 around Thanksgiving... Was sitting opposite from this camera view.... They ripped.... amazing.... Whitesnake was great too... jumped to the floor for WS... got like 10 - 12 rows from stage... We didn't know Adrian Vandenberg and Vivian Campbell were the new guitarists...... It was a free for all on the floor at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque..... remember getting banged around by some big Native Americans.... Nothing malicious or hurting... just the way it was.... rock and roll maniacs..... Perfect evening.!!!
